No Guarantee Fund
We have learned that the opinion has settled on converting
the amounts granted to railway employees
and its workers from its guarantee fund in the event of
dispensing with their services or their resignation into
pension salaries. And such a step
is met with complete satisfaction from the employees of this
institution, as it also saves the railway treasury
significant amounts that were likely to
leak out of Iraq if work continued
under the current system by those
citizens who did not observe the rights of citizenship
and did not care for them

The Wandering Jew . .
Since the late third century before
Christ, meaning more than two thousand years ago,
the Roman Emperor summoned the scientist
"Archimedes" and said to him, "I have commissioned
a Jewish craftsman to make a crown of
diamonds, and I fear the man might deceive me
by presenting a crown of glass. How
can you distinguish between diamond and glass?"
This is the Wandering Jew whom
we fight today and will fight tomorrow and for
future generations if necessary . . .
This is the Wandering Jewish people,
displaced with all their base qualities, descending
from ancient generations like a raging plague
wrapping around itself and then turning to settle
in the core of a noble nation!.
This is the Jew; for more than
two thousand years his life has been a series of cheating,
deception, evasiveness, and delusion . . .
In the era of Roman power . . and in the
height of Jewish persecution, the monarch of
Rome feared their cheating and deception;
he expected no good from a Jewish craftsman
nor did he rule out that Jewish craftsman
replacing diamonds with glass. The
spirit of cheating in the children of this people has remained
deep-rooted and increasing. It was the misfortune
of humanity that this cheating established
for them an entity based on money collected
by filthy means, and imposed for them today
a place in international politics with conflicting
ambitions and fox-like intentions . . .
However, we will fight this filthy
heritage that descended from very distant
generations with all its pestilential characteristics to establish
an existence for itself upon a spot of the dearest spots
in the Arab world without taking
its old calculation for the future.

The company that transported the Jews of Yemen
undertakes to transport the Jews of Iraq by planes
Registration stages, stripping of citizenship, and the start date for deportation
Registration continues for Jews wishing to leave Iraq permanently in exchange for stripping them of their Iraqi citizenship at the main registration center in the Meir Tweig Synagogue at a rate of more than 700 people per day
It is estimated that the number of those who have registered so far is about 3,000 people, and the process of stripping them of their Iraqi citizenship has reached its final stage. All that remains is the issuance of the Council of Ministers' decision to approve this in accordance with the law in force in this regard. We have learned that the process of approving the stripping of citizenship for those registered will be according to the seniority of the application, and each decision issued by the Council of Ministers will deal with a specific batch of those registered. As for the number of individuals in a single batch, it will be in proportion to the number of individuals that the means of transport can carry.
Regarding the date for deporting those whose Iraqi citizenship stripping has been processed and how they will be deported, we have learned that the current month will not end before the deportation of the first batch of those registered has begun. It seems that the idea of deporting them via Iran has been abandoned, as we have learned that an American air transport company has submitted offers to transport them from Baghdad for a fee of 12 Dinars per person. This American company is the same company that handled the transport of Yemen's Jews from Aden to Israel.
What we have learned is that the aforementioned company intends to use two planes for this transport at the present time, each of which can carry 45 passengers, provided that each of them makes two trips a day, so the total number transported by the two planes will be 180 passengers daily.
The company has expressed its readiness to use more planes if the demand for registration and the desire for emigration increases, in which case the number of planes carrying out the transport will be more than two, i.e., proportional to the large number of those wishing to emigrate.
It appears that the referred company stipulates that the weight of the items each passenger wants to take with them should not exceed 30 kilograms, and for any amount exceeding this weight, the company will charge an additional fee. The company also stipulates that these items must be placed in special cardboard boxes manufactured in Baghdad according to the company's specifications so that they can be placed in the plane according to a special organized arrangement that prevents them from occupying a large space in the plane. This arrangement will prevent the passenger from carrying suitcases, bundles, baskets, and other items.
It is understood that official authorities are currently interested in studying these offers, and they approve of them in principle.
Jerusalem - The newspaper "Herut" published in Tel Aviv says that the competent authorities in the Jewish Agency expect that the number of Jews who will come from Iraq will not be less than 60,000 Jews. These authorities confirm that most of these arrivals will be poor and destitute, similar to the Jews who came from Yemen. Therefore, the Immigration and Housing Department is currently ⟦...⟧ to arrange the necessary places for them to live.
They will initially reside in special camps until arrangements are made for them to build houses for themselves in the Negev desert. This arrangement will not be completed before two years have passed.

The Travel of Iraqi Jews to Israel
Will it be done by American planes?
The registration movement continues for Jews who
wish to renounce their Iraqi citizenship
and leave Iraq permanently. Approximately
four thousand people have been registered so far,
and citizenship will be revoked according to seniority.
It was previously decided that
their travel would be via Iran, but an
American air transport company has expressed
its readiness to transport the Jews by air, as it did
for the Jews of Yemen. It is said that this company
will allocate two planes for two trips each day,
and each of the two planes will carry 35 passengers.
The company will take 12 dinars from each
passenger.

The newspaper also stated that the Jewish

Jewish migration activities from Iraq,
North Africa, Persia, and India. It is understood
that this amount is sufficient for the migration of 50 thousand

The Eastern Bank and the Hebrew Language !!!
Foreign banks in Iraq used to
use the English language - considering it
a global language - in their correspondence and other
works, in addition to the French or
Arabic languages if the transaction necessitated the
use of one of them. It did not occur to
anyone's mind that one of these foreign banks
would challenge the general national sentiment and use
the Hebrew language alongside the English language in
its transactions, especially since the wound of Palestine and
what befell it at the hands of the Jews is still an open sore
bleeding bright red blood. But the Eastern
Bank - according to what we have heard - has used this
language in its checks and transfers, which caught the
attention of the Basra Province Governorate, so it sent a letter
to the National Bank Governorate seeking clarification
and denouncing it, and the National Bank
drew the attention of the Eastern Bank to that, and it
was expected that the mentioned bank would cease that
and the matter would end at this point.
But this bank, as it appears and despite
the suspicions hovering around it, was not convinced of the necessity
of discarding this challenge; rather, it is still continuing
to use the Hebrew language in its checks
alongside the English language. And we do not know
why this insistence and why this challenge?
We, in turn, direct this question to
the responsible authorities.

My Economic Corner
Banking
... He said, O so-and-so, by God, hardship has touched us, and yet we are as you knew us:
rich out of self-restraint. He extended his hand to his car door and motioned for me to get in,
so I did, and the car took off with us, devouring the road to the beats of a heart that until the
recent past was like rock, unyielding.
He is one of our (simple) merchants; he froze some of what he owned in real estate, which then dropped.
With the rest, he imported goods, but the market stagnated. He helped some of his friends manage their affairs,
but none of them could repay what they owed, and the situation remains as it is, so what can he do??
The national banks are all routine and restrictions; they don't lend to the merchant until he dies!! And the
discount houses (banking) are all Jewish and on their way to (Israel), and foreign banks
only extend their hands to a few merchants whom they know and rely upon!!
And merchants are in the same situation as our friend, so what is the solution?? Trade requires speed in action,
honesty in dealing, and punctuality in appointments. A merchant may own thousands, but if
a draft for a small amount is drawn on him and he fails to pay it, his commercial honor collapses in
mere minutes!! So what is to be done?? The work is for us to call upon our jealous sons and our merchants
- all of them - to go into banking and allocate even a small portion of their wealth to it, to fill
at least the gap left by the Jews, and to perform the work they used to perform. By doing this, they serve
their homelands with a practical, actual service.

The case of "smuggling Jews before the Criminal Court"
The Karrada Criminal Court looked into, on the morning of
yesterday, the case of those accused of smuggling Jews
The court listened to the testimony of the first witness
Haj Ali Thul-Fiqar and the testimony of the second witness
Hussein Hamid and the discussion of their testimonies by
the defense lawyers Najib al-Rawi, the lawyer,
and Abdul Rahim al-Rawi, the lawyer, and Kamal
al-Sanawi, the lawyer. It was stated in the testimony of
the first witness: that the defendant Saleh Mahmoud
had met him and offered that he undertake
the deportation of a number of Jews to Palestine
but his national jealousy did not allow him to do so
so he contacted the Directorate of Criminal Investigations and recorded
his testimony and instructions were given to him to ensure
the arrest of the defendants. At the time
specified by the first defendant Saleh, he took
his car accompanied by the second witness and drove
with the first defendant to Karrada, then the first defendant
ordered him to stop in front of a specific house
located in front of the (water tanks) and about
seventy people, including men, women,
and children, boarded with their travel bags. Then the
car headed towards New Baghdad. On the way,
they were stopped by a police patrol that
was in a Jeep, so they managed to escape
but the first defendant ordered him to return
to Baghdad, so he did not agree to this request
which forced the first defendant to draw
his pistol at him, threatening him, so he was forced to
return. On the way, the defendant
ordered him to drive towards an empty area and ordered him
to stop as he ordered the Jews to disembark and flee
And when he showed resistance, the first defendant
fired three bullets at him which missed him
and subsequently some police officers arrived
and a crowd of people, so they arrested them
The testimony of the second witness came
containing the same information narrated by
the first witness. The court adjourned until
the 17th of this month to hear the rest of the witnesses
and we will provide the readers with that.

Representative Ahmed Al-Naqib spoke about the departure
of the Jews and the stripping of Iraqi citizenship from them,
and he said that many of them had left before the issuance
of the law, and he believes it is best to return to the lists
of population registration in the provinces and to form a local committee
in each province to investigate the lists to identify the absentees
whose Iraqi citizenship must be revoked.

Transporting Iraqi Jews by Air
The Iraqi newspaper "The Times" says that the first air transport authorization for Jews wishing to leave Iraq
permanently was granted at the end of last week to the Near East Air Transport Company, which is the American company recognized
legally to carry out such air transportations.
This authorization was granted following the conclusion of talks held between representatives of the company and the Iraqi government.
Transport from Iraq will begin within the next few days, and four-engine aircraft of the type
"Lady of the Air" Skymaster, piloted by American navigators, will be used.
The number of Jews—men, women, and children—who have completed registration procedures is estimated at more than 5,000 people.
Several thousand Jews have also registered their names in the branch centers as well.

the Iraqi embassy or consulate located in their place of residence.

Some Jews in Basra
are trying to flee even though they are among those seeking to renounce their citizenship
They wear black and green turbans so they can escape
Police departments in Basra have arrested during
recent days a group of Jews
estimated at thirty (heads) in
close succession, and among these escapees was
a group of those who had previously requested the renunciation of
Iraqi citizenship, but their procedures
in this regard have not yet reached their final stage
yet, and the question currently being asked by
people's tongues is: Was the entry of
fleeing Iraqi Jews into Iran with the approval of
the Iranian government? As for the truth that
we know and wish to emphasize, it is that
the Iranian government has not previously authorized
officially any foreigner, whoever they may be,
to enter its territory without an official, certified
passport. As for how thousands of Iraqi Jews
managed to cross and reach Iran?
Our answer to this question is extremely simple,
which is that in Iran, as in most other
kingdoms, there are base, degraded, and lowly souls
who have made smuggling a door to livelihood,
and among the hellish methods of these scoundrels
is that they dressed the Jews in black turbans
and green ones or hats and blended them with the original
inhabitants of the country.
Efforts are still being made by His Excellency
Mr. Najib Ali, Director of Police for Basra Governorate,
and all members of the police force there
in order to combat the Jews and their smuggling
and to eliminate them.

the types of corruption they have spread through various
methods they excel at within society
And in addition to their justification of the means to achieve
