in the Port - is very large. And that they occupy important technical and administrative positions such that

The Acting Director General of Police wrote to the Mutasarrifate of Baghdad Province and the Ministry of Interior indicating that the existence of this club in name (and the gambling house) in reality is considered a danger given the acts occurring in it that violate the regulations of associations and clubs. On this basis, a decision was issued by the Ministry of Interior to cancel the license of this club and close it permanently. It is worth mentioning that the management of this club felt this coming at the right time from some quarters (!) so it worked on smuggling the furniture and closed its doors three nights ago to save itself from the fate that awaits it according to the observed regulations. This is a step that has a good effect carried out by the competent departments in order to save the country from the evils of this place and its likes. We expect that what the competent departments take against the shops we wrote about in previous issues, such as (Hayawi Talla Khana) in Al-Bataween, Anwar Khalif and Sassoon Siddiq in Karrada, and (Ibrahim Sakman gambling den) in Al-Bataween—who is the brother of (Ezra Sakman) who was managing (Al-Furat gambling house)—it is not unlikely, rather it is a fact, that the players who used to frequent the brother's place will move to the other brother's place, and it is expected that the (two gambling dens) belonging to the two brothers will be merged into one. Similar to the strict measures it took against (Al-Furat Club), and to work on closing them to save the people from their evils. We are waiting.

who requested to renounce their citizenship yesterday
The number of Jews who registered a request
to renounce their Iraqi citizenship yesterday was
228 people. As for the number of those registered in the other
provinces, no news has been received about them since last
Sunday until now. We have mentioned previously
that the demand for the request to renounce citizenship
has begun to reach a certain limit that did not reach 200
people per day, after it had significantly exceeded
this limit in the first weeks
from the beginning of registration.

In the Basra Public Works Department, there is an observer
Jewish man named Hazim Sassoon who has occupied this
observation post for a long time, and this
observation post is very important considering the large volume

a purchasing agent for this department named (Abdullah
Al-Samarrai), and no one who hears or reads

there is no harm in keeping him provided he is transferred to
another position far from collection, spending,
delegation, and authorization, especially since the department of
works in Basra is about to construct
a bridge over the Khorah River and has allocated 13 thousand
dinars. And God is the ultimate goal.

When will the first convoy be deported

We have previously mentioned in past issues that
the company transporting the Jewish travelers
is an English company, and we have been informed
that this company is (British Overseas Airways Corporation),
and it is hoped that during this week,
deportation certificates will be distributed to those
who registered to renounce their citizenship after the Council
of Ministers ratified the revocation of their citizenship,, and it was said
that their number will approach one thousand,
As for the planes that will carry them, it was mentioned to us
that they are four-engine aircraft,,
and each of these planes can carry
sixty passengers, provided that each
passenger is allowed to carry thirty kilograms of furniture,
As for the fees, it was said they are twelve dinars
per passenger.
Without achieving
obstacles to their program
Haaretz newspaper said that Eliezer
Kaplan, the Jewish Minister of Finance, was
very frank when he broadcast a statement to the Jews of
the world last night and told them that if
they wanted to implement the Jewish immigration program
to Israel for the next four years
they must provide 500 million pounds
to organize this immigration and 300 million
pounds for the housing of immigrants and finding a
vital space to absorb them, provided that this
latter amount be in hard currency, and that
if these amounts are not provided, then immigration
must stop.
