Hadiya Munshi Saleh School for Girls
⟦illegible⟧
With reference to the letter from the administration of the aforementioned school, No. 19 dated 2/5/954
We have ⟦illegible⟧ accompanied by the Secretary of the Jewish Community in Baghdad, and after inspecting a classroom, we found that
one of the classroom walls on the upper floor has cracked due to decay, as it was originally built with mud bricks, and this classroom has been evacuated
of students. The Jewish Community has taken the necessary precautions to remove the danger from this classroom
based on the recommendation of the Chief Engineer of the Municipality in ⟦illegible⟧ the engineer "to support a wall on the ground floor, which is
a room that is not the wall of the aforementioned classroom, while placing wooden supports for this wall from the outside and the foundation, and closing the door and windows
and others from the street side to prevent students from passing near the wall and the work through which the ⟦project⟧ was achieved, and I have also inspected
the same ⟦illegible⟧ location in the old building in the room adjacent to the aforementioned classroom to another location in the courtyard of the building
the new one, to prevent water leakage into the foundation and building a wall near the school door ⟦illegible⟧
for inspection, and the Community will carry out the aforementioned works and other necessary renovations, and thus the danger to the students will be removed
Note that it is the Community's intention "to discharge responsibility and preserve the lives of the students" to evacuate this building at the end of
the current school year and rent another house to move the students who occupy the rooms of the old building, until
the completion of the construction of the new building if the necessary funds for demolishing the building and rebuilding it are not available
Accordingly, we submit the proposal as mentioned above, and we will begin the necessary renovations next Thursday
