To the Honorable Judge of Personal Matters in Baghdad
Greetings and respect
For our client, the Administrative Committee for Iraqi Jews (acting as the Physical Council), the vacant lot
Tapu sequence 230 located in the Al-Koulat neighborhood, its guardianship has devolved to the Administrative Committee as
detailed in the copy of the Tapu registration belonging to the aforementioned lot.
It has been impossible to utilize the aforementioned endowment lot by leasing it year-by-year as it is not built upon, and there are no
funds in the name of this endowment (known as ⟦Moshe Sadqa⟧) sufficient to build it up.
The Administrative Committee has been approached by someone wishing to lease an area of (400) m2 of the aforementioned lot
on a long-term lease for twenty-one years, a person named Sultan Al-Majzab, according to the terms listed
in the petition submitted by him (a photograph of which is attached herewith) and summarized as follows: -
1 - The lease term is twenty-one years with an annual rent of two hundred and fifty Dinars.
2 - Constructing a building for commercial purposes on the aforementioned lot at a cost of no less than -/2500 Dinars -
which returns to the lessor upon the expiration of the lease term.
Since granting the aforementioned lot on a long-term lease is in the interest of the endowment, we have come to your honorable court
in its capacity as the guardian of non-Muslim endowments.
Hoping that after reviewing the details of the matter and verifying the existence of an interest for the endowment in this long lease,
you will kindly issue the legal permission for the aforementioned area of the endowment lot 230 Koulat for a long
lease according to the terms presented and detailed above.
With respect

To the Honorable President of the Administrative Committee of the Israelite Community.
Sir:
Your respected committee had allocated me an allowance of half a dinar per week, equaling
two dinars per month, and since the smallness of this amount is not sufficient for my living and I suffer during this
difficult time, and it is not hidden from your Excellency that my husband was a teacher in the schools for a period
exceeding fifty years and had performed his duties with complete sincerity and integrity, therefore I have come
with this request of mine, seeking from your Excellency your sympathetic compassion for the petitioner, as I
suffer from severe poverty such that I am unable to make a living and I have no one
to support me, especially since I am an old woman of advanced age and I am unable to support
myself, so I hope from your esteemed committee, in preservation of my husband's services and out of mercy for me in this matter, and to you
Sir, is the command

Presented to your Excellency
I, the undersigned, Yusuf Eliyahu Azouri, have a wife and four children, and we are a family composed of
six individuals. I used to carry a bundle on my shoulder and go around selling fabrics. Some time ago, my eyes
became diseased and now I can only see very little, and I am not allowed to perform my work.
I have become unemployed and have nothing to enable me to support my family and young children. I submit
herewith the medical report given to me by Dr. Rawitser which supports my statement. I plead
for your compassion to grant me an allowance so that I can support my family and to look into my case
with an eye of mercy. The reward of the benefactors is never lost.
To your Excellency and the members of the honorable committee, with utmost respect, Sir.
