Clarifying what was stated in the sixth paragraph notified to you in our letter No. 63641 dated
23 / 12 / 964, which included the possibility of advancing examinations for a period of one week for double-shift schools, is that
the examination in schools sharing one building begins on the same day and ends at the time when
the examinations of all schools end, so that the start of the holiday for everyone is on 30 / 1 / 965. This
procedure requires examining all students of schools sharing one building daily, but the short duration
helps the last school finish its daily examination at a suitable time of the day.

During the visit of the specialist inspector, Mr. Mahmoud Al-Jomard, to the schools, he found that some of the male and female teachers had not established the annual teaching plan, and that some of them had proceeded too quickly in teaching the curriculum components, so the male and female students did not benefit as they should. He also noticed the delay of others to the extent that it would be difficult for them to complete the prescribed curriculum, especially regarding grammar lessons. Please inform all male and female teachers of this and demand they urgently submit the annual plan and keep a copy of it with you to present to the inspectors during their visits, as this is one of the most important requirements for successful teaching and is at the core of a teacher's duties.

(( Copy of my letter ))
For the purpose of unifying the foundations of reward and punishment regarding the results of general and final exams for all educational levels
It was decided as follows :-
1- The teacher or instructor is thanked if the percentage of success is 80% or more regarding the number of their participating students
in final or general examinations, whether oral or written.
2- The attention of the teacher or instructor is drawn if the percentage of failure is 30% regarding the number of participating students
in final or general examinations.
3- The average of the total subjects taught is taken into consideration; for example, a teacher teaches mathematics
and natural sciences, and the success rate in mathematics was 25% and the success rate in
natural sciences was 65%, then the percentage for the teacher's scale is considered 25 + 65
2
= 45%. In this case, he receives neither thanks nor punishment, provided that the teacher is
responsible for these students throughout the year and is not subject to punishment if he taught only a part
of it.
4- If more than one teacher participated in teaching the subject, each of them receives thanks or punishment according to the above scale.
5- The school principal is thanked or punished based on the aforementioned scale regarding the number of participating students
and the school administration is considered if the general success rate in it is 20% or
less.
6- All instructions notified to you in our letter No. 6/1/6087 dated 10/23/963 and others
that conflict with these instructions are cancelled.
7- All public and private schools of various types are to be notified of this, please.
For/ General Director of Technical Affairs
and Chairman of the High Committee for Examination Management
Further to our letter No. 39436 dated 8/3/1964.
1- What is meant in the second paragraph of our letter referred to above is the success percentage and not
for failure, which was mentioned by mistake.
2- The attention of the school principal is drawn if the combined success and completion rate is 30% or less, and the school administration is warned
if the mentioned percentage is 20% or less, and paragraph (5) of our letter
above is corrected accordingly.
3- The instructions for the foundations of reward and punishment are applied to graduating classes and for the first attempt only. Please act
accordingly and inform us.
