Correspondences from community members to the President of the Jewish Community regarding personal issues: help to finding relatives; dispute on a dowry issue; burials; a teacher requests a financial reward for 32 years of working in Midrash Talmud Torah, requests to continue to receive a retirement allowance of deceased husband; letter to Rabbi Sassoon Khedouri from a member of the Supreme Court requesting an additional salary for some extra work he does to help him financially; letter from workers requesting salary increases to the President of the Jewish Butchery; list of thirty names of needy and retired people whose allowances were decided upon by the Jewish Lay Council and approved by General Council. Also included are issues of the Iraqi Chronicle in 1973 on the nationalization of Exxon and Mobil Oil companies.

2918 7 July 935 Directorate of Midrash Schools The Physical Council decided in its meeting held on June 5, 935: 1- Reducing the salaries of Midrash employees whose salaries exceed three dinars by twenty percent of the original salary, with the exception of the trustee Ezra Zion Effendi, the director Moshe Effendi, and the son of Rabbi Heskel, provided that the salary does not result in less than three dinars. 2- Teachers Isaac Hayyim, Khedhouri Ibrahim, and Nissim Yaqub are transferred to the Menashi Saleh School, provided that the aforementioned reduction is applied to their salaries. 3- Sasson Effendi Nissim, the clerk in the Midrash schools, is retired at half salary. 4- Teachers Isaac Yaqub Mulla and Yusuf Hakham Rubin are retired with a monthly salary of one dinar and one hundred and eighty-seven fils each (1/187), and Dhair Gitabat with a monthly retirement salary of one dinar, provided that the aforementioned receive these retirement salaries from the Midrash, and this retirement shall be limited to each of them personally, and their heirs have no right to claim its transfer to them ⟦line⟧ 5- Four dinars and eight hundred and seventy-five fils (4/875) shall be deducted from the total salaries of the servants, provided that the organization of the servants' case is entrusted to the director. 6- The Council approves the payment of the salaries of the Midrash employees for the next four months: June, July, August, and September 935 directly, provided that the following revenues are received during the four mentioned months: Fils | Dinar 735 | 300 from property revenues ⟦...⟧ | 206 from endowment revenues abroad 994 | 193 value of the plot of land intended for sale ⟦line⟧ 729 | 600 only six hundred dinars and seven hundred and twenty-nine fils, which is the total revenue that the trustee confirmed to the Council would be collected during the four mentioned months. 7- Since the amount decided to be deducted from the Midrash allocations to the Menashi Saleh School is one hundred and five dinars, and the total salaries of the previously transferred employees reached approximately thirty-nine dinars, and the difference of the reductions listed above is approximately twenty-two dinars, the total decrease in Midrash expenses will be
