His Excellency the President
The rent for the ground warehouse adjacent to the Presidency Department, which was previously leased at an
annual amount of 900/- Dinars, has become due. After deliberations lasting twenty days, and after back-
and-forth negotiations, we have reached a preliminary agreement for the current year's rent to be in the amount of 650/- Dinars.
The reduction rate from the previous year is thus 25%, bearing in mind
that we have previously granted concessions to the owners of adjacent shops at a rate of 25%,
while the rental value of the shop is small compared to the warehouse rent. I wish to inform Your Excellency
that I stipulated to the lessor that the rental value I agreed upon with him would not be effective
until it is presented to Your Excellency and your approval is obtained. Therefore, if you find
the rental value I agreed upon suitable, I request that you instruct the secretary
to organize the lease document at the rate we agreed upon. Yours faithfully,
Sincerely,
