Best paper for Composition or for Short Story Con-
test in English.
I. A committee shall be formed of 3 or more members comprising:
(a) The class teacher concerned.
(b) A second teacher of English, if available, in the school.
(c) One or two outsiders mastering the English Language.
II. The Committee will mark each paper according to the follow-
ing scale:

Conditions for selecting the best essay or best story in student competitions
First - A committee is formed of Arabic language teachers in the school and one or two external members who are proficient in
the Arabic language.
Second - The members of this committee assign grades to each essay or story according to the following scale:-
Maximum Grade |
10 | 1- Method of starting the topic, its treatment, and the method of concluding it.
20 | 2- Writing style.
15 | 3- Fulfilling the topic's requirements from a literary perspective and in terms of the topic's significance.
20 | 4- Correctness of phrases, their clarity, and accuracy with eloquence.
20 | 5- Adherence to the rules of morphology and grammar.
15 | 6- Freedom of writing from spelling errors.
100 | Total
General Notes:-
1- The topic is given to the contestants by the school administration.
2- The topic is written inside the school under the supervision of the administration and teachers.
3- It is permissible to set a specific time for writing the topic and to specify the number of words approximately
or not to specify them and give sufficient space for the student to write.
4- If the time is not specified, students are allowed to take short breaks as needed.
5- Contestants are allowed to use a dictionary if they so wish.
6- The winner of the prize allocated for this competition must obtain at least 60% of the grade
at least.
