Announcement
Subject / Punishment of students
In view of the delay of the two students, Daoud Yaqub Aziz Yaqub and Muwaffaq Najib Salman Dalaj, both from the second
intermediate class (A), from the lesson of Mr. Nouri Al-Daghistani on Sunday, May 15, 1966, without reason,
the administration of this school has decided, based on the request of the specialized teacher, to impose a registered warning punishment against each of them,
with the deduction of five marks from each of their averages.
Twenty marks had previously been deducted from the conduct average of the student Daoud Yaqub Aziz Yaqub ⟦by decision⟧ dated February 23, 1966,
and thus the total marks deducted from his conduct average have reached twenty-five marks.
Ten marks had also previously been deducted from the conduct average of the student Muwaffaq Najib Salman Dalaj on January 7, 1966, and
thus the total marks deducted from his conduct average have reached fifteen marks.
This is with the knowledge that a student is considered to have failed in his class if 51% or more is deducted from his conduct average.

Announcement
Subject / Student Punishment
In view of the misconduct of student Dawoud Yaqoub Aziz Yaqoub, who is in the second intermediate class (A), during
the lesson of Mr. Nouri Al-Daghistani on Thursday, 12 / 23 / 1965, the Discipline
Committee met at the request of the specialized teacher on the same day and decided: to impose the penalty of temporary expulsion for a period of
three days starting from Thursday, 12 / 23 / 1965, against the aforementioned student, with the deduction of twenty
points from his conduct average.
This is due to his repeated engagement in acts disruptive to order in various classes, despite repeated warnings from
the teachers and the administration regarding the necessity of silence in class and not performing acts that would hinder the course of
teaching in the class.
Be advised that the student is considered to have failed his class if 51% or more is deducted from his conduct average.

UNIVERSITY OF LONDON GENERAL CERTIFICATE OF EDUCATION EXAMINATION OVERSEAS
The statement on the other side of this form shows the grades
awarded to you at the Advanced and/or the Ordinary level in each
subject for which you entered. This information is sent before the
issue of Certificates and the University reserves the right to correct
it. This document is not a Certificate and must not be regarded as
such.
Advanced Level
At this level grades A, B, C, D and E are grades of pass in descending
order of merit, reading from left to right, and grade F followed by
the word FAIL, denotes failure. Grade O, followed by ORD, at
this level indicates a compensatory Ordinary level pass. The words
FAIL and ORD apply to the subject as a whole. An 'X' indicates
absence from the examination in a subject. 'Z' indicates that a script
has been received in answer to questions set on a subject, syllabus or
option other than the one for which you entered, and no result is
given.
In Biology, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Physics and Zoology two
grades are given. The first represents the grade obtained in the
subject as a whole, including the practical test; to the right of this
appears the grade given in the practical test only.
Where a candidate has entered for both Pure Mathematics and
Applied Mathematics but has not been awarded an Advanced level
pass in both subjects, an alternative Advanced level pass in Mathe-
matics (Pure and Applied) may be given if the performance in
Papers 1 and 3 reaches the required standard.
There are no oral tests in the languages at this level except for
certain schools in West Africa. For candidates from these schools
there are two grades in French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish
and Modern Hebrew. The first represents the result obtained in the
subject as a whole including the oral test. To the right of this appears
the grade given in the oral examination only. The oral grades are A,
B, C, D, E, O and F. Failure in the oral test does not necessarily
indicate failure in the subject as a whole.
Ordinary Level
At this level grades A, C and E are grades of pass in descending order
of merit reading from left to right, and Grades F and H, followed by
the word FAIL, denote failure. An 'X' indicates absence from the
examination in a subject. 'Z' indicates that a script has been received
in answer to questions set on a subject, syllabus or option other than
the one for which you entered, and no result is given.
