Baghdad 12/18/1962
Respectable Administrative Committee
Upon your request, I have visited the Notary Public of North Baghdad, the occupant of the house numbered 25, Al-Tatran district
who is now called ⟦illegible⟧ kept at the Notary Public ⟦illegible⟧ Baghdad First 147
meaning he pays every ⟦illegible⟧ one hundred fils. Upon inquiring with the Notary Public of South Baghdad through
Mr. Shaker ⟦illegible⟧ it became clear that the installment due on 1/1/1962 was not paid. We warned him and he did not take any
action. I went to his house twice myself and he did not attend the department. Please take whatever action you deem appropriate against him.
Thank you
Note: The previous annual rent, i.e., for the year 1957, was 60 Dinars
After the reduction, i.e., for the year 1962, it is 48 Dinars annually
As for now, it is estimated at 80 Dinars annually
A copy of the warning is attached herewith

Through the Honorable Notary Public of Northern Baghdad
To the Honorable President of the Administrative Committee for Iraqi Jews, in his official capacity
- The Lessor -
After greetings and respect.
According to the written contract concluded between me and your excellency, I am the tenant of house number
57/110 located in the Qanbar Ali neighborhood, with an annual rent of 150/- Dinars to be paid in three
installments, each installment being 50/- Dinars, starting from 1/9/1967 to 31/8/1968. I paid
to your excellency the first installment in advance, amounting to 50/- fifty Dinars, according to the receipt given to me by
your esteemed committee, numbered 4243 and dated 24/8/1967, and the legal reduction was not deducted from it according to
the new Rent Law implemented as of 1/9/1967. The second installment has become due from me
starting from 1/1/1968, amounting to 50/- Dinars. Therefore, since the legal reduction includes me
as of 1/9/1967, I have reduced 25% from the first installment paid in advance and 25% from the
second installment as well, so the total of what I recover from the first and second installments is 25/- twenty-five
Dinars. Therefore, I have deposited for you an amount of 25/- twenty-five Dinars with the Notary
Public of Northern Baghdad, which is what remains for your excellency from the original total of the two mentioned installments. For the purpose of
informing your excellency, ⟦therefore⟧ I have sent you this notice. Please accept my highest respects, knowing that I will continue
to pay the due amounts on time after the legal reduction, so the referred contract is considered renewed.
