This Ministry would like to inform you that the mid-year break must be spent
inside Iraq primarily, whether by students or -
teachers. Schools should be encouraged to organize trips and tours agreed upon
among all relevant authorities before embarking on them. As for traveling outside Iraq
during the aforementioned break as a group of students or with teachers, it is prohibited in
principle, and teachers are not allowed, individually or in groups, to spend the
mid-year break outside Iraq due to its shortness, except after studying the request and ensuring
the benefit of the intended trip and the return of the delegation before the resumption of studies.

It appears from the letter of the Ministry of Education numbered S/14 / 1 / 57 and dated 20 / 2 / 57 that it
was satisfied with supporting the proposal to limit the request for non-conviction certificates
to students whom the administrations of institutes or schools deem necessary to obtain
the mentioned certificates, but it did not take the measures to ensure following this method
by the administrations affiliated with it, and therefore this support will not have any effect
if the season arrives and students flock to obtain the mentioned certificates.
So please kindly contact the Ministry of Education again to publish the necessary instructions
in this regard to all administrations of institutes and schools and also publish that in
local newspapers for the information of students and their guardians so they may be aware of that
and cease requesting certificates based on the habit that was followed in previous
years, whether in the capital or other provinces, and kindly inform us.
