On the occasion of the upcoming opening of the swimming pool for the current summer season, please follow the instructions listed below
regarding the organization of work and training in the swimming pool belonging to this Ministry to ensure discipline and to facilitate the benefit and protection of
students.
1 - No one is accepted in the pool except day students in official and private schools and colleges.
2 - Registration of students begins in the swimming pool building starting from Saturday, falling on ⟦24⟧ / 5 / 58 from 7 o'clock
until 9:30 AM for primary and intermediate school students and from 4:30 until 7:00
PM for secondary, vocational school students, high institutes and colleges.
3 - Attendance shall be daily in the swimming pool (except Fridays and official holidays) as follows:-
Morning Swimming

And it shall be for primary school students only in two shifts according to the following order:-
A - For newcomers from 7:00 until 8:00 AM.
B - For advanced and intermediate students from 8:15 until 9:45 AM.
C - Allocating three quarters of an hour daily for outstanding students to train them at a high level in swimming and diving starting from 9:45 AM.
Evening Swimming
⟦line⟧
And it shall be for intermediate, secondary, vocational school students, high institutes and colleges in two shifts according to the
following order:-
1 - For newcomers from intermediate schools from 4:30 - 5:30 PM on Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays
of every week.
2 - For newcomers from secondary, vocational schools, high institutes and colleges from 4:30 - 5:30
PM on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays of every week.
B - For intermediate and advanced students from 5:40 - 7:40 PM every day.
C - One hour daily is allocated for those outstanding in swimming and diving to train them at a high level in swimming, diving and water
polo. After 7:40 PM.
4 - Shift students shall not enter the swimming pool before the last student from the previous shift exits, so trainers must note
this with all precision.
5 - The administration manager shall assign one of the trainers to check the students' identity and verify it well before allowing them to enter

The swimming pool building. Another coach must also be assigned to supervise the cleaning of their bodies in the (showers) and their feet in the
foot washing basin before they enter the pool.
6 - The pool management must place clear instructional signs written in white color (paint) on the edge of the pool and on its sides with the following
phrase (Shallow - for beginners) and also write in red the phrase (Deep - for advanced).
7 - The swimming pool manager shall distribute the tasks among the coaches and determine the type of work performed by each of them, as well as the duties
of his shift in the morning and evening sessions according to a special schedule signed by everyone and sent by the administration manager to
the Directorate of Physical Education enclosed with an official letter.
8 - The swimming pool manager shall entrust each coach with a group of students to train them, and that coach is considered directly responsible
for everything that happens to them.
9 - The administration manager shall keep a special attendance record for both the morning and evening sessions, in which every member of the pool
administrative staff signs daily.
10 - The administration manager, the pool manager, and the coaches for each session must arrive at the pool building at least half an
hour before the scheduled time for the students' arrival, and everyone leaves together after the last student departs.
11 - (a) - The administration manager is responsible for all administrative matters such as records, physical fitness forms, student IDs,
monitoring the cleanliness of the pool, the pumping machinery, and all furniture and supplies, as well as supervising the workers and janitors assigned to the pool.
(b) - The pool manager is responsible for all technical matters of swimming, diving, and water polo, and for the efficiency and ability of the coaches and the extent
to which they perform their training duties.
(c) The coach is responsible for the administrative or technical work entrusted to him by the pool manager and the administration manager.
12 - The administration manager shall provide any student who wishes and meets the conditions specified in these instructions with a
physical fitness form to be filled out by his school administration after attaching his photograph, provided it is signed by the school principal
or his official deputy and stamped with the school seal. After completing it, the student must go to the students' health clinic
(bringing the form with him) to undergo a medical examination for health and physical fitness and safety from communicable diseases, to be signed
by the clinic doctor, then the student returns it to the swimming pool administration (to be kept in a special file). After that,
the student who meets the health conditions is provided with a membership ID by the administration manager.
13 - The pool administration manager must keep two registers for recording the names of participating students, one for primary school students
and the second for middle, secondary, vocational school, higher institute, and college students, mentioning:
Student's name - his school - his grade - his age - the ID number he holds - date of receiving the ID - his level in swimming
(Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced) - General remarks in which the extent of the student's progress in swimming is recorded.
14 - A student may not be transferred from the beginner group to the intermediate and advanced group except by special permission from the
pool manager.
15 - The administration manager shall put distinctive marks on the students' IDs for the sessions and their swimming times.
16 - The pool manager shall provide the administration manager with a list of the names of advanced students who are training at a high level in

Swimming, diving, and water polo; the administration manager must mark this in a register and on the students' IDs.
17 - No students other than those mentioned in paragraph 16 are allowed to remain in the pool when coaches are conducting special training for such students.
18 - Students shall visit the following clinics, provided that the number of students examined daily does not exceed (30) students in each of the following clinics: -
(a) - Students of Baghdad Center schools - Medical office of the Central Student Health Clinic
(b) - Students of Adhamiya or Kadhimiya schools - Medical office of the Student Health Clinic in Adhamiya
(c) - Students of Karrada Al-Sharqiya schools - Medical office of the Student Health Clinic in Karrada Al-Sharqiya
(d) - Students of Karkh schools - Medical office of the Student Health Clinic in Karkh
19 - The administration manager and the pool manager are responsible for all disciplinary issues and they must submit a detailed report on every incident or problem that occurs to the Directorate of Physical Education.
20 - Visitors are absolutely not allowed in the pool, whether during official hours or outside of them.
21 - Both the administration manager and the pool manager must submit a technical report on the (30th) of every month, each according to his specialization, and submit a comprehensive report at the end of the swimming season to the Directorate of Physical Education.
22 - The administration manager must receive all tools and supplies belonging to the pool according to the special register and record all new supplies and tools in the mentioned register.
23 - The administration manager must send a bottle of pool water to the Student Health Directorate at the end of each month to test the water and ensure its suitability.
