There are also documents confirming religious education and births in other countries including Austria, Greece, and Romania. Birth certificates verifying birth dates go as far back as the 1870s.

12/23/1947 The Honorable Rabbi Sassoon Khedhouri, President of the Jewish Community in Baghdad Presented to your Eminence by the petitioner Issachar bin Ibrahim, a subject of the Imperial Iranian State and among the Jewish immigrants who came to Iraq a long time ago, holding an Iranian nationality booklet numbered 17435 and dated in the year 1314 Solar, and an Iranian passport numbered 27814 / 2988 and dated 1317 Solar, both issued by the Imperial Iranian Consulate in Baghdad. Since I am not proficient in the Iranian language or in reading and writing, when registering at the aforementioned consulate, my name was recorded in the nationality booklet and passport by mistake; instead of recording Issa- char, they recorded Issa Khan. Since there are witnesses and evidence that my name is Issachar, please issue your high orders to grant me a testimonial paper of my correct name so that I may submit it to the Iranian Consulate in Baghdad and thereby correct my name in the consulate's records.
