In the ten days of
And Moses said to the Lord, See, You say to me, Bring up
this people; and You have not let me know whom You will send with me.
Yet You have said, I know you by name, and you have also found grace in My sight. Now therefore,
if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You,
that I may find grace in Your sight; and consider that this nation is Your people. And He said,
My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest. And he said to Him, If Your presence go not with me,
carry us not up hence. For wherein shall it be known here that I and Your people have found grace in Your sight?
Is it not in that You go with us? So shall we be separated, I and Your people, from all
the people that are upon the face of the earth. And the Lord said to Moses,
I will do this thing also that you have spoken; for you have found grace
in My sight, and I know you by name. And he said, I beseech You, show me Your glory.
And He said, I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name
of the Lord before you; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.
And He said, You cannot see My face; for there shall no man see Me, and live.
And the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by Me, and you shall stand upon a rock. And it shall come to pass, while
My glory passes by, that I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by.
And I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen.
And the Lord said to Moses, Hew two tables of stone like the first;
and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables,
which you broke. And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning to
Mount Sinai, and present yourself there to Me on the top of the mount. And no man shall come up
with you, neither let any man be seen throughout all the mount; neither let the flocks nor herds
feed before that mount. And he hewed two tables of stone like the first;
and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up to Mount Sinai, as the Lord had commanded
him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone. And the Lord descended in the cloud,
and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord. And the Lord passed by before him,
and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness
and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means
clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto
the third and to the fourth generation. And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.
And he said, If now I have found grace in Your sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray You,
go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin,
and take us for Your inheritance. And He said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all your people
I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation;
and all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the Lord;
for it is a terrible thing that I will do with you. Observe that which
I command you this day: behold, I drive out before you the Amorite, and the Canaanite,
and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite. Take heed to yourself, lest you make
a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you go, lest it be
for a snare in the midst of you. But you shall destroy their altars, break their images,
and cut down their groves. For you shall worship no other god;
for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. Lest you make a covenant
with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice to their gods,
and one call you, and you eat of his sacrifice; and you take of their daughters to your sons,
and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make your sons go a whoring after
their gods. You shall make no molten gods. The feast of unleavened bread
you shall keep. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, in the time of
the month Abib; for in the month Abib you came out from Egypt. All that opens
the matrix is Mine; and every firstling among your cattle, whether ox or sheep, that is male. But the firstling of an ass
you shall redeem with a lamb; and if you redeem him not, then shall you break his neck. All the firstborn of your sons
you shall redeem. And none shall appear before Me empty. Six days you shall work, but on
the seventh day you shall rest; in earing time and in harvest you shall rest. And the feast of weeks
you shall observe, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year's
end. Thrice in the year shall all your men children appear before
the Lord God, the God of Israel. For I will cast out the nations before you,
and enlarge your borders; neither shall any man desire your land,
when you shall go up to appear before the Lord your God thrice
in the year. You shall not offer the blood of My sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice
of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning. The first of the firstfruits of your land
you shall bring to the house of the Lord your God. You shall not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
And the Lord said to Moses, Write these words;
for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with you and with
Israel. And he was there with the Lord forty days and forty
nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And He wrote upon
the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments. And it came to pass,
when Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in
Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses knew not that the skin
of his face shone while He talked with him. And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw
Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come near him.
And Moses called to them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned
to him; and Moses talked with them. And afterward all the children of
Israel came near; and he gave them in commandment all that the Lord had spoken with him in Mount
Sinai. And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a vail on his face.
But when Moses went in before the Lord to speak with Him, he took the vail off,
until he came out. And he came out, and spoke to the children of Israel that which
he was commanded. And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin
of Moses' face shone; and Moses put the vail upon his face again,
until he went in to speak with Him.

In the desirable remembrance
It is necessary for the supplicant upon arriving at the House of God
And when he stands before the door upon which
the gaze falls inside, he says ⟦...⟧ In the name of God and peace be upon the Messenger of God
O God, open for me the gates of Your mercy and ease for me the gates of Your provision
And make me among the most honored of Your visitors and the most fortunate of Your creation
And the greatest of them in rank, and the closest of them to You, and the purest of them to You
And the most excellent of them before You. Then he says upon entering the door: O God
I present before me the deeds of righteousness which are my means to You
Then he says: O God, make me in Your presence distinguished in this world
and the hereafter, and among those brought near. Then he says: O God, make
my prayer through it accepted, and my sin through it forgiven, and my supplication through it
answered, and my effort through it appreciated, and make me among those who look
to You and to Your noble face. Then he says: O God, make
my pilgrimage a pilgrimage accepted, and my effort appreciated, and my sin forgiven
And God has answered your supplication and forgiven your sin and your effort is appreciated
O God, grant me success in what You are pleased with and love, Amen O Lord of the Worlds
O God, forgive me and my parents and all the believing men and believing women
O God, forgive me and my parents and all the believing men and believing women
Then he enters the House

And if you heard him. And it is a tradition of the Messenger regarding the rest of the people, unknown.

from the aspect that I mentioned and others and others of remembrance, property, and blood,
that would not be permissible for them, nor would God Almighty name them by this
which was mentioned in this Surah.
Regarding blood and property.
As for blood and property, it is in this Surah likewise as we mentioned regarding women.

In [Parashat] Bechukotai 5704 (1944)
The words that were delivered in the synagogue of the Holy Mizrahi Community in the city of Petah Tikva, may God protect it,
based on the verse in [Parashat] Behar Sinai: 'And also if there be among you a man who is not clean by reason of a chance
of the night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp; but it shall be, when evening comes on, he shall bathe in water,
and when the sun is down, he shall come within the camp. And you shall have a place outside the camp, and you shall go out there;
and you shall have a shovel among your weapons; and it shall be, when you sit down outside, you shall dig therewith, and shall turn back and cover your excrement; for
the Lord your God walks in the midst of your camp, to deliver you, and to give up your enemies before you; therefore shall your camp be holy, that
He see no unseemly thing in you, and turn away from you.' And so we said in Parashat Behar Sinai: 'If your brother becomes poor,
and his hand fails with you, then you shall uphold him; as a stranger and a settler shall he live with you. Take no interest from him or increase, but fear
your God, that your brother may live with you. You shall not give him your money upon interest, nor give him your food for increase.
I am the Lord your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, to be
your God.' And also we said in Parashat Bechukotai: 'If you walk in My statutes, and keep My commandments,
and do them; then I will give your rains in their season, and the land shall yield her produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time; and you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell
in your land safely.'
Petah Tikva
