And if that patient is in a very difficult state and it overcomes him
at night until he is close to death, it is mandatory for
whoever is with him to read these verses before him with submission and supplication
sixty-five times according to the numerical value of His Name, may He be blessed, and these are the verses:
For the sake of His Name, may He be blessed: Repentance, Prayer, and Charity avert the evil of the decree.
In righteousness he shall lodge in it, and now let the wicked live life, and kindness shall surround him, and charity saves from death.
And Maran, of blessed and holy memory, wrote in Sefer Hasidim, section 906, and these are his words: When there is an evil illness -
God forbid, in the city, the congregation shall say in the Selichot of Shacharit and Mincha,
and they shall perform charity and issue a ban and fast for three days and blow the Shofar and say
the Explicit Name and the Selichot of a public fast, and they shall say the verses of mercy
so that they may come to repentance, and they shall also say Psalms with submission and supplication,
and afterwards they shall say the verses of mercy and also say the verses of mercy
at the end of Psalms, meaning from Hallelujah, Praise God in His Sanctuary, until the end of the Psalms,
meaning seven psalms that end with Hallelujah, corresponding to the seven chambers of mercy,
as explained in Sefer HaMinhagim, Sefer HaKavanot, Sefer Hasidim, and Sefer HaMusar,
and all this will help to remove the plague and the illness from the city.

And he said, do not fear for I am with you, and do not despair of my blessing, for I shall remember you
Go forth from your land, and when you are with me, do not fear any evil occurrence

And these are the names of the children of Israel who came to Egypt with Jacob, each man and his household
came: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah; Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin; Dan and Naphtali;
Gad and Asher. And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls, and Joseph
was in Egypt. And Joseph died, and all his brothers, and all that generation.
And the children of Israel were fruitful and increased abundantly, and multiplied and grew exceedingly mighty -
and the land was filled with them. And there arose a new king over Egypt, who
did not know Joseph. And he said to his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are many
and mightier than we. Come, let us deal wisely with them, lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that when there befalleth us
any war, they also join themselves unto our enemies, and fight against us, and get them up out of the
land. Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens.
And they built for Pharaoh store cities, Pithom and Raamses. But the more
they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and the more they spread abroad. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.
And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigor. And they made their lives bitter
with hard service, in mortar and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field; all
their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigor. And the king of Egypt spoke -
to the Hebrew midwives, of whom the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah;
and he said: When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, ye shall look upon the birthstool: if it be a son,
then ye shall kill him; but if it be a daughter, then she shall live. But the midwives feared God,
and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men-children alive.

Truth
Regarding Parashat Beshalach
And Moses sent his father-in-law away, and he went his way to his own land, and at the end of the verse (the Torah is written)
A Midrash Peliah: And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not
through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; and because it was near, He did not lead them?
Rather <del>because</del> for the sake of what Abraham our father, peace be upon him, said: "Would that I had a portion with
these," God did not lead them through the way of the land of the Philistines. And one must understand the connection of the words of
the Midrash with the verse "And Moses sent etc." in Parashat Beshalach and the whole matter in
itself. And also to understand what it is that Abraham said, "Would that I had a portion
with these," and which people are they? Did Abraham say about the Philistines, "Would
that I had a portion with these"? Were not the Philistines idolaters
and how could Abraham, peace be upon him, pray that he should have a portion with them? And also
one must understand what this matter has to do with "And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go
that God led them not."
However, it seems the matter can be understood according to what is written in Pirkei Avot: With ten trials
was Abraham our father, peace be upon him, tested, and he stood in them all, to make known how great was the love of
Abraham our father, peace be upon him. And behold, regarding these trials, the commentators, of blessed memory, differ;
some say these are the trials and some say those are the trials.
And behold, Maimonides, of blessed memory, in the Commentary on the Mishnah, counted these trials: The first
is the leaving of his land, his birthplace, and his father's house to go to the land of Canaan.
The second, the famine that was in the land of Canaan and he went down to Egypt. The third, what happened to him with Pharaoh
regarding the taking of Sarah. The fourth, the war of the kings. The fifth, the taking of Hagar as a wife
after he saw he was not begetting from Sarah. The sixth, the circumcision which the Name, blessed be He, commanded him.
The seventh, what happened to him with Abimelech regarding the taking of Sarah. The eighth, the expulsion of Hagar.
The ninth, the expulsion of Ishmael. The tenth, the Binding (Akedah). These are the words of Maimonides, of blessed memory.
And behold, there are other commentators who counted the trials in a different manner, who wrote
that one of the trials was Ur Kasdim, where Nimrod threw him into the furnace
of fire. And behold, Maimonides, of blessed memory, in the Commentary on the Mishnah, did not count this,
for he said that this is not explicitly mentioned in the Torah, and all the trials he counted
are explicitly detailed in the Torah. And also there are other commentators
who said that one of the trials was the burial of Sarah our mother,
that he did not find a place to bury her until he bought it for a high price.
And behold, Maimonides also did not count this.
And behold, it seems the matter can be understood according to what is written in Pirkei Avot: With ten trials
was Abraham our father, peace be upon him, tested, and he stood in them all, to make known how great was the love
of Abraham our father, peace be upon him. And that regarding these trials, the commentators, of blessed memory, differ.

Parashat Vayeshev it is written
And Jacob dwelt in the land of his father's sojournings, in the land of Canaan. And in Midrash Rabbah and the Haftarah of
the week it is written: Thus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Israel, and for four,
I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes. And it is necessary
to understand what the connection and relationship is between these verses. For it is known that every
matter and subject in the Torah has a connection with the subject of the Haftarah
as explained in the holy books. And also it is necessary to understand what is the language "And Jacob
dwelt in the land of his father's sojournings, in the land of Canaan." And it should have said "And he dwelt
in the land of Canaan, in the land of his father's sojournings." And also in Midrash Rabbah
why it juxtaposed this verse ⟦to⟧ the verse "the wicked crowns the righteous, therefore
perverted justice goes forth." And also it is necessary to understand what is the matter of the sale of Joseph the Righteous
who was sold for twenty pieces of silver. And also it is necessary to understand what is the matter of this sale
that was done by the holy tribes who are the foundations
of the world. And also it is necessary to understand what is the matter of this sale that was done
for a pair of shoes. And also it is necessary to understand what is the matter of this sale
that was done by the Ishmaelites and the Midianites and the merchants. And also it is
necessary to understand what is the matter of this sale that was done by this sale
that was done by this sale that was done by
the Ishmaelites and the Midianites and the merchants. And also it is necessary to understand what is the matter
of this sale that was done by this sale that was done
by this sale that was done by this sale
and the matter of this sale that was done by this sale.
But in truth, this whole matter of the sale of Joseph is a very deep
and awesome matter. And it must be understood that this sale was by
the holy tribes who are the foundations of the world. <del>And behold</del> for in truth the matter
of this sale is in order to rectify the matter of the sin of Adam the First
who sinned with the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. And behold it is known that all the souls
were included in the soul of Adam the First. And when Adam the First sinned
all the souls fell into the husks. And it is necessary to clarify
the holy sparks from within the husks. And this is the matter of the Egyptian exile
that Israel were in Egypt in order to clarify the holy sparks
that were there. <del>And behold</del> and behold it is known that Joseph the Righteous is the aspect of
the Foundation (Yesod). And he is the aspect of the Righteous who is the foundation of the world. And behold
in order to clarify the holy sparks that were in Egypt
it was necessary that Joseph the Righteous descend to Egypt first.
And behold it is known that Joseph the Righteous is the aspect of the Foundation. And behold it is known
that the Foundation is the aspect of the middle line that bolts from end to
end. And he is the aspect of the Righteous who connects the upper ones with the lower ones.
And behold it is known that Joseph the Righteous was the aspect of the Chariot for the Holy
Shekhinah. And behold it is known that Joseph the Righteous was the aspect of the Chariot
for the Holy Shekhinah. And behold it is known that Joseph the Righteous was the aspect of
the Chariot for the Holy Shekhinah. And behold it is known that Joseph the Righteous
was the aspect of the Chariot for the Holy Shekhinah. And behold it is known
that Joseph the Righteous was the aspect of the Chariot for the Holy Shekhinah.

In the twentieth wine
And they said in the Gemara in Tractate Avodah Zarah page 58
A story of a certain man who was placing his hand inside
the jug and said, 'Do not fear, it is alive!' And Rava said: He was confused
And some say he said to them: 'Do not fear, do not fear,' and he
did not know in which place the speaker touched: in every
jug, and if it was a large jug that had water in it and in that water
was the speaker, all that water was impure, and if
the jug also had water in it, it was all impure regarding the speaker
this speaker is alive, so do not be startled by him in the speaker

And if he comes to bring this divorce document before the Sages, also upon them
is this decree, for they will see and fear lest a punishment come upon them.
And a story is already known that happened to one before the early Sages,
and a great fear was upon him, and he gave him advice that he should make peace
with his wife and return her to his home, and so he did, and peace
returned. And after <del>he returned to his home</del> there was peace in their home
for several days, then his mind returned to him and his heart was settled,
and he went to the Sages and gave them a bribe of much money
so that they would write him a divorce document according to law and statute, and they wrote him the document
and gave it into his hand, and he went and sent her away from his house.
And when the Sages came to see what was done with him,
and they found that he had divorced her, they asked him: How did you do
this? Is it not a decree not to divorce? And he told them
the story and how he gave a bribe to the Sages and they wrote him the document.
And then they went to those Sages and asked them
about the matter, and they told them the story and how they gave them
a bribe of much money and they wrote him the document. And then the
Sages said: These Sages who accepted a bribe are disqualified,
and the divorce document is void, for any judge who takes a bribe, behold he is
disqualified from judging and all his actions are null and void.
⟦illegible⟧ and also these Sages who accepted a bribe.
And it is further written in the books that the Sage who accepted a bribe and wrote the document
had the status of a wicked person, for he transgressed the words of the Sages and the words of the Torah.
⟦illegible⟧ wicked ⟦illegible⟧ wicked ⟦illegible⟧
And the Sages further said about him that he has no portion in the World
to Come. ⟦illegible⟧ This is a difficult and terrible story, and regarding this
a person must be very careful not to transgress the words of the
Sages and the words of the Torah.
For behold it is known that anyone who transgresses the words of the Sages is liable
to death.
The virtue of kindness:
It is fitting for every person to perform
kindness with people, even with the wicked. And if he performs kindness
with people, the Holy One, Blessed be He, performs kindness with him,
as it is written: The kindness of the Lord is for all who take refuge in Him. And the Sages said,
of blessed memory: (Hillel the Elder spent all his days performing kindness
with every person and even with gentiles, and all his actions were
for the sake of Heaven). And the Sages said: Anyone who performs kindness
with the creatures, the Holy One, Blessed be He, performs kindness with him.
And even if he is completely wicked, the Holy One, Blessed be He,
atones for all his iniquities. And if he is righteous, they add
reward to his reward, and regarding this it is said: Abundant in kindness and truth.
For the Holy One, Blessed be He, is full of mercy and kindness and has mercy
on all His works, and regarding this it is said: The Lord is good to all.

on Dana weak like a judge p' right their brothers surrounded and behold
a dream and behold we were binding sheaves in the middle of the field and behold
my sheaf arose and also stood upright and behold your sheaves gathered around
and bowed down to my sheaf And his brothers said to him will you indeed reign
over us or will you indeed rule over us and they hated him even more
for his dreams and for his words And he dreamed yet another dream
and told it to his brothers and said behold I have dreamed a dream again
and behold the sun and the moon and eleven stars were bowing down
to me And he told it to his father and to his brothers and his father rebuked him and said
to him what is this dream that you have dreamed shall we indeed come I
and your mother and your brothers to bow down to you to the ground And his brothers
envied him and his father kept the matter And his brothers went to pasture
their father's flock in Shechem And Israel said to Joseph
are not your brothers pasturing in Shechem come and I will send you to them
And he said to him here I am And he said to him go now see the welfare
of your brothers and the welfare of the flock and bring me back word And he sent him
from the valley of Hebron and he came to Shechem And a man found him and behold
he was wandering in the field and the man asked him saying what do you seek
And he said I am seeking my brothers tell me please where
they are pasturing And the man said they have moved from here for I heard
them saying let us go to Dothan And Joseph went after his brothers and found them
in Dothan And they saw him from afar and before he drew near to them
they conspired against him to kill him And they said to one another
behold this master of dreams is coming And now come and let us kill him
and cast him into one of the pits and we will say a wild beast devoured him
and we shall see what will become of his dreams
And Israel said to Joseph are not your brothers pasturing in Shechem
And Reuben heard it and delivered him from their hands and said let us not strike his life
And Reuben said to them shed no blood cast him into this pit
which is in the wilderness and lay no hand upon him so that he might deliver him from their hands
to return him to his father And it came to pass when Joseph came to his brothers that they stripped
Joseph of his tunic the tunic of many colors that was on him and they took him
and cast him into the pit and the pit was empty there was no water in it And they sat down
to eat bread and they lifted up their eyes and looked and behold a caravan of Ishmaelites
was coming from Gilead with their camels bearing gum and balm and ladanum going
to carry it down to Egypt And Judah said to his brothers what profit is it if
we kill our brother and cover his blood Come and let us sell him to the Ishmaelites
and let our hand not be upon him for he is our brother our flesh And his brothers listened
And Midianite men merchants passed by and they pulled and lifted up Joseph
from the pit and sold Joseph to the Ishmaelites for twenty pieces of silver
and they brought Joseph to Egypt And Reuben returned to the pit and behold
Joseph was not in the pit and he tore his clothes And he returned to his brothers and said
the boy is gone and I where shall I go And they took Joseph's tunic
and slaughtered a kid of the goats and dipped the tunic in the blood And they sent
the tunic of many colors and brought it to their father and said this we have found
recognize now whether it is your son's tunic or not And he recognized it and said it is my son's
tunic a wild beast has devoured him Joseph is surely torn in pieces And Jacob tore
his garments and put sackcloth on his loins and mourned for his son many days
<del>And Reuben heard it and delivered him from their hands</del>

Rav Hisda said: What is the meaning of that which is written: "The Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all
the dwellings of Jacob"? The Lord loves the gates distinguished in Halakha more than all
the synagogues and study halls. And this is what Rabbi Hiyya bar Ami said:
From the day the Temple was destroyed, the Holy One, Blessed be He, has in His world only
the four cubits of Halakha alone. And Abaye, when he would see that he was
praying here and standing here, he would pray where he would study -
Rav Ami and Rav Assi, even though they had thirteen synagogues
in Tiberias, they would only pray between the pillars where they would study.
And Rav Hisda said: What is the meaning of that which is written: "Our feet were standing within your gates,
O Jerusalem"? Who caused our feet to stand in war? The gates of
Jerusalem, where they were occupied with Torah. And Rav Hisda said: What is the meaning of that which is written:
"A Song of Ascents, of David: I rejoiced when they said to me, 'Let us go to the house of the Lord'"? Said
David before the Holy One, Blessed be He: Master of the Universe, I heard people who were saying,
"When will this old man die, and Solomon his son will come and build the Chosen House,
and we will go up for the festival?" and I rejoiced. The Holy One, Blessed be He, said to him: "For a day in Your courts is better
than a thousand." Better to Me is one day that you are occupied with Torah before Me than a thousand
sacrifices that Solomon your son is destined to offer before Me upon the altar.
And Rav Hisda said: What is the meaning of that which is written: "Then Phinehas stood up and executed judgment (vayipalel), and the plague was stayed"?
"Vayipalel" (prayed) is not said, but rather "Vayipalel" (judged); this teaches that he executed judgment
with his Creator. He came and cast them before the Holy One, Blessed be He; he said before Him: Master of the Universe, for
these shall twenty-four thousand of Israel fall? As it is written: "And those
that died in the plague were twenty-four thousand."
Rabbi Eleazar said: What is the meaning of that which is written: "And it shall come to pass in the end of days, that the mountain of
the Lord's house shall be established as the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
And many peoples shall go and say: 'Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
to the house of the God of Jacob'"? The God of Abraham and the God of Isaac is not said,
but rather the God of Jacob. Not like Abraham, of whom it is written "mountain," as it is said:
"On the mountain of the Lord it shall be seen." And not like Isaac, of whom it is written "field," as it is said:
"And Isaac went out to meditate in the field." But like Jacob, who called it "house," as it is said:
"And he called the name of that place Bethel (House of God)."
Rashi's Commentary, of blessed memory:
The gates of Zion distinguished in Halakha: Gates where sages sit
and distinguish the Halakha there, saying this is forbidden and this is permitted.
This is what Rabbi Hiyya bar Ami said: From the day the Temple was destroyed, the Holy One, Blessed be He,
has in His world only four cubits of Halakha: For He has no satisfaction
in His world except when a person is occupied with Torah and decides Halakha and judges a true judgment
to its truth. When he would see that he was praying here: That he would pray in the
synagogue in his city and would return to the study hall and study there.
He would pray in the place where he would study: So that he would not be idle from
the Torah. Even though they had thirteen synagogues: That they were able
to pray there, they would not pray except in the place where they were learning
Torah there.

Luck
And for those who said ⟦...⟧ and they came with him and he stood
before him and found favor in the eyes of his master and everything would be successful
which the Lord did by his hand for there is no need for all these blessings
these and the Lord was with Joseph and he was a successful man and he was in the house
of his Egyptian master and his master saw that the Lord was with him and all that
he did the Lord made successful in his hand and Joseph found favor in his eyes
and he served him and he appointed him over his house and all he had he gave into his hand
and it was from the time he appointed him in his house and over all that he had
and the Lord blessed the Egyptian's house because of Joseph and the blessing of the Lord
was in all that he had in the house and in the field and he left all that
he had in Joseph's hand and he knew nothing with him except the bread which
he ate and Joseph was handsome of form and handsome of appearance and it was
after these things that his master's wife lifted up her eyes
to Joseph and said lie with me and he refused and said to the wife
of his master behold my master does not know what is with me in the house and all that
he has he gave into my hand he is not greater in this house than I and he has not
withheld anything from me except you because you are his wife
and how can I do this great evil and sin against God -
and it was as she spoke to Joseph day by day and he did not listen to her to lie
beside her to be with her and it was on this day and he came into the house -
to do his work and there was no man of the people of the house there in the house -
and she caught him by his garment saying lie with me and he left his garment
in her hand and fled and went outside and it was when she saw that he left his garment
in her hand and fled outside and she called to the people of her house and said
to them saying see he brought us a Hebrew man to mock us
he came to me to lie with me and I called with a great voice and it was when he heard
that I raised my voice and called and he left his garment with me and fled
and went outside and she laid his garment beside her until his master came
to his house and she spoke to him according to these words saying the
Hebrew servant came to me whom you brought to us to mock me
and it was as I raised my voice and called and he left his garment with me and fled
outside and it was when his master heard the words of his wife which
she spoke to him saying according to these words your servant did to me
and his anger was kindled and Joseph's master took him and put him into the house
of the prison the place where the king's prisoners were bound and he was there
in the prison house and the Lord was with Joseph and extended kindness to him
and gave him favor in the eyes of the warden of the prison house and the warden of the house
of the prison gave into Joseph's hand all the prisoners who were in the house
of the prison and all that they did there he was the doer
the warden of the prison house did not see anything in his hand
because the Lord was with him and what he did the Lord made successful -

With the help of Heaven
⟦illegible⟧
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful, and in Him we seek help in all matters
Praise be to Allah, who made knowledge a light and a shining lamp in the darkness
of the heedless, and illuminated with it the hearts of the gnostics in the path of truth, sincerity,
righteousness, and success. Peace be upon our master and lord Muhammad,
sent as a mercy to the worlds, and upon his family, who are the lamps of religion
and the heirs of the noble Prophet. As for what follows: this is a concise book on
the rulings of religion and the explanation of the purified Prophetic Sunnah. I have collected in it
great benefits from the books of the practicing scholars and the lives of the righteous predecessors,
who are an example for everyone who desires salvation in this world and the hereafter.
I have named it by this blessed name ⟦illegible⟧ regarding the realities of
matters and the clarification of what is hidden from the famous. We ask Allah Almighty to
benefit the people with it and make it purely for His noble sake; He is the All-Hearing,
the Answerer of prayers. I have organized it into chapters and sections, and I have made
this first chapter concerning the virtue of knowledge and the scholars. Allah
Almighty said in His Mighty Book: "Allah will raise those who have believed among you
and those who were given knowledge, by degrees." And He also said: "Say, are those who
know equal to those who do not know?"
On the Virtue of Knowledge
Knowledge is a light that Allah casts into the heart of whom He wills of His servants.
It is the foundation upon which every righteous deed is built. The Prophet,
peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Whomever Allah intends good for, He grants him understanding of the religion."
And the scholars are the heirs of the prophets. Allah has granted the scholar
an exalted status in this world and the hereafter.
Know that knowledge is divided into two parts: knowledge of religions and knowledge of bodies.
It is incumbent upon the rational person to learn that which rectifies his religion and his worldly life,
and that his work be purely for Allah Almighty, with no showing off or seeking reputation in it.
Some wise men said: "Knowledge without action is like a tree without fruit,
and action without knowledge is like a mirage in a desert." The noble Sharia has urged
the seeking of knowledge from the cradle to the grave. He, peace be upon him, said:
"Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim man and woman." The righteous predecessors
used to travel to the ends of the lands in search of a single Hadith.
It has been mentioned in the traditions that everything seeks forgiveness for the scholar, even the fish
in the sea. Allah has granted the scholar intercession on the Day of Resurrection,
and the angels lower their wings for the seeker of knowledge out of satisfaction with what he does.
So every rational person must exert his effort in acquiring beneficial knowledge
which will save him from the punishment of Allah Almighty on the Day of Crowding,
and he should be disciplined with the manners of knowledge, such as humility, forbearance,
and patience in learning. The poet said:
Be patient with the bitterness of a teacher's harshness,
For the failure of knowledge lies in its avoidance.
And whoever does not taste the bitterness of learning for an hour,
Will swallow the humiliation of ignorance for the rest of his life.
Knowledge is not attained through the comfort of the body; it is only attained through staying up late,
toil, and persistence in study. The wise men said:
"None has triumphed in knowledge except he who disciplined himself." The ancient scholars
used to stay awake at night studying books and investigating
religious and worldly issues until they became beacons
by which people are guided on the path. They have left us a great heritage
which we must preserve and act according to what is in it.
Allah Almighty said regarding the scholars:
"Only those fear Allah, from among His servants, who have knowledge."

With G-d's Help
⟦line⟧
⟦line⟧
I said to myself, I shall write in a book
a story that happened in our days with a certain wise man, of blessed memory, here in our city
And that wise man was pious and G-d-fearing and a man of kindness
And he had a shop and he would sell in it all kinds of perfumes and drugs
And he had a custom every single day that he would open his shop
from midday onwards and he would sit there with the Book of Psalms and after-
ward he would study some lesson and if some person came to buy
from him some thing he would give it to him and if no person came
he would study all day and he would support himself from what he earned
in those hours and he had one small shop and a small amount of merchandise
And he walked in a (straight and wholehearted) path with all people
And he had one son and he was studying Torah and that son was
succeeding very much in Torah and his father rejoiced in him with great joy
And it did not take a long time
And that son was sick with a very heavy illness and the doctors despaired
of his life and his father was very pained for him and he would pray
for him every single day and he would cry before Hashem, blessed be He, that He should send
a complete recovery to his son and he would request mercy for him from Heaven
And that son was very sick until he reached the gates of death
And his father was sitting next to him and was crying and praying for him
And that son would say to his father do not cry for me because behold
I see the ministering angels coming to me and they say to me come
in peace because behold Hashem desires you and his father cried more
And he would pray to Hashem, blessed be He, and said Master of the Universe behold
this son is my only one and he occupies himself with Your holy Torah
and fulfills Your commandments and he cried with a very great cry and he was
praying and saying Master of the Universe if a decree was decreed upon
this son of mine that he shall die behold I accept upon myself the judgment with love
But I request from You that You give me some sign if
he is going to a good place and if he is accepted before You
And that son was dying and his father was standing over him and was
praying and saying Master of the Universe if this son of mine is going to a place
good give me some sign and afterward the soul of that
son departed and his father was very pained for him and he was crying
And that son came to him in a dream and said to him my father do not
be pained for me because behold I am sitting in the Garden of Eden with the righteous
And his father was very happy and said to him my son give me some
sign so that I will know that you are in the Garden of Eden and his son said to him know for yourself
that behold on such and such a day a certain man will come to you and give you
a certain thing and this will be a sign for you and afterward his father awoke
from his sleep and he was very happy and he was waiting for that day
And that day was such and such a day and he was sitting in his shop
And behold a certain man came to him and gave him a certain thing
And that thing was a very precious thing and his father was happy
very much and he was thanking Hashem, blessed be He, for all the good that
He bestowed upon him and afterward he returned to his home in joy
