In Midrash Rabbah, Parashat Vayechi, Rabbi Isaac said: At the time when

A story of a certain man
who was a merchant of great merchandise, he used to go to another
city to sell his merchandise, and there he would sell it
for cash, and he would take the money and return to his home.
And he had a friend in that city who was a merchant
as great as he, and he would go to him and stay the night with him.
And on that night of his departure from the world, he was with him,
and he placed in his hand all the money that he had in his hand,
and he said to him: "This money is a deposit with you
until tomorrow." And he gave it to him without witnesses
and without a deed, for he trusted him with complete trust.
And he went to his house and arrived at his house and was sick
with a heavy illness and died of that illness and did not leave
a will for his sons and did not tell them that he had money
with so-and-so his friend. And that friend heard that his friend
had died and he rejoiced with great joy and said in his heart:
"Behold, this money remains with me and no man knows
of it." And that friend was a very rich man and he had
sons and daughters and he had great wealth and he had
slaves and maidservants and he had horses and mules and he was
eating and drinking and rejoicing and forgot the money of his friend.

and that friend died and told his sons nothing,
and the money is with me, and it is such-and-such an amount." And he
said to them: "My sons, be careful of this money,
do not eat a single penny of it, for it is stolen property
in your hands, and if you eat from it, you will lose
all your property." And he said to them: "My sons, know that I
was very rich and I had much money and I
had sons and daughters and I had great wealth and I
had slaves and maidservants and I had horses and mules
and I had all the good of the world and I had everything,

who informs Him? With whom did He take counsel, and who instructed Him, and taught Him in the path of judgment, and taught Him knowledge, and the way of understanding
informed Him? Behold, nations are like a drop from a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance; behold, islands are like fine dust that is lifted. And Lebanon
is not enough to burn, and its beasts are not enough for a burnt offering. All the nations are as nothing before Him; they are counted to Him as less than nothing and vanity.
To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare to Him? The idol, a craftsman casts it, and a goldsmith overlays it with gold,
and chains of silver the smith casts. He who is impoverished for such an offering chooses a tree that will not rot; he seeks for himself a wise craftsman
to prepare an idol that will not totter. Do you not know? Do you not hear? Has it not been told to you from the beginning? Have you not
understood the foundations of the earth? It is He who sits upon the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain,
and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in. Who brings princes to nothing, makes the judges of the earth as vanity. Scarcely are they planted,
scarcely are they sown, scarcely has their stock taken root in the earth, and He also blows upon them and they wither, and the whirlwind like stubble
carries them away. To whom then will you liken Me, that I should be equal? says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high and see who created
these, who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name; by the greatness of His might and the strength of His power, not one is missing.
Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel: My way is hidden from the Lord, and my judgment passes from my God?
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint and does not
grow weary; there is no searching of His understanding. He gives power to the faint, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Youths shall faint
