Out of the desire of this Directorate to understand the views of English language teachers of the fourth, fifth
and sixth secondary grades regarding the Workbooks, it wishes to receive their suggestions concerning:
1- Their current division into language, comprehension, and composition exercises.
2- Their sequence, phrasing, and presentation style.
3- Suggestions regarding additions, deletions, or modifications to some of them.
4- Typographical or linguistic errors not mentioned in the errata sheet, with reference to page number, line,
and suggested correction.
5- How teachers handle exercises in class and the extent of students' benefit from their linguistic activities.
6- The suitability of the material for the time allocated for teaching.
The exercises will be attached in the new edition of the books at the end of each lesson. Since the exercises will be revised
before the aforementioned process, we hope to receive suggestions within one month - at most - from
its date above, so they can be assigned to the committee that authored the exercises and for the desired
benefit to be better achieved. / We suggest forming a committee in each governorate consisting of a number of English language specialists
to study the suggestions of teachers who have actually practiced teaching the Workbooks and to submit a
comprehensive report to this Directorate in light of the six points above.
Please circulate this letter of ours to the secondary schools affiliated with your directorates to act accordingly and follow up on its implementation
