In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Republic of Iraq Copy of the Document Out of the desire of this Directorate to understand the views of English language teachers of the fourth, fifth and sixth secondary grades regarding the Workbooks, it wishes to receive their suggestions concerning: 1- Their current division into language, comprehension, and composition exercises. 2- Their sequence, phrasing, and presentation style. 3- Suggestions regarding additions, deletions, or modifications to some of them. 4- Typographical or linguistic errors not mentioned in the errata sheet, with reference to page number, line, and suggested correction. 5- How teachers handle exercises in class and the extent of students' benefit from their linguistic activities. 6- The suitability of the material for the time allocated for teaching. The exercises will be attached in the new edition of the books at the end of each lesson. Since the exercises will be revised before the aforementioned process, we hope to receive suggestions within one month - at most - from its date above, so they can be assigned to the committee that authored the exercises and for the desired benefit to be better achieved. / We suggest forming a committee in each governorate consisting of a number of English language specialists to study the suggestions of teachers who have actually practiced teaching the Workbooks and to submit a comprehensive report to this Directorate in light of the six points above. Instructions Due to the approaching season for submitting applications for affiliation to the University of Baghdad for the academic year 1970/71 and for the purpose of organizing and facilitating the work in the best possible way, please be kind enough to review the instructions listed below and cooperate with us in applying them literally, while circulating them to all secondary schools affiliated with you and instructing them on the necessity of adhering to the admission requirements and applying them accurately:- 1- Every student from the governorate's students who meets the admission requirements has the right to join the University of Baghdad provided that they submit the original copies of the required documents. 2- The student who wishes to join the University of Baghdad is provided - by their school - with an envelope containing a copy of the Student Guide for the year 1970/71 and three copies of the affiliation forms to the University of Baghdad and two copies of the receipt of delivery according to the branch (the affiliation form for the Literary branch for preparatory studies (Old Fifth) shall be white, and the affiliation form for the Scientific branch and the Commercial branch - for preparatory studies (Old Fifth) shall be green, and the form for the Literary branch for preparatory studies - Sixth shall be blue, and the form for the Scientific branch for preparatory studies Sixth - shall be orange, and likewise the two delivery receipts shall be the same color as the branch form. 3- Students of orientation courses who meet the admission requirements and the required totals must submit documents with grades certified by the Governorate Education Directorate, along with submitting the preparatory study grade document certified by the Governorate Education Directorate. 4- The student fills out the affiliation form in three copies with the two delivery receipts with the required information and shall be responsible for the accuracy of this information, taking into account that the order of the student's choices on the form matches their choices on the delivery receipt. 5- One photograph is pasted on the first face of the affiliation form in the space designated for that, with a stamp of (50) fils denomination and a national defense stamp of (20) fils denomination for each copy. 6- The field (for the use of the General Registration Directorate) located on the first face of the form is left without writing. 7- After stamping the affiliation forms and the two delivery receipts on the photograph and certifying them with the school principal's signature the forms with the two delivery receipts are handed to the student. Then the student submits them to the Governorate Education Directorate for certification as well. 8- The student must submit the documents required in paragraph three of the admission conditions and instructions at the University of Baghdad and place these documents with the certified affiliation forms inside the envelope designated for that. 9- The student submits the envelope with its contents of required documents to one of the submission centers in the city of Baghdad mentioned in paragraph one (B - 4) of the admission instructions for Iraqi students. 10- The affiliation form must be free of any crossing out or erasure, even if signed. Therefore, care must be taken when filling out the forms and ensuring the accuracy of the information before recording it. 11- Graduates of industrial and agricultural secondary schools must submit a preparatory study grade document certified by the Governorate Education Directorate, including the rest of the required documents explained in paragraph three of the conditions and instructions for admission, and submit them to the Institutes Authority. 12- Female graduates of Home Arts who hold a special baccalaureate and meet the admission requirements - must submit a grade document certified by the Governorate Education Directorate, including the rest of the documents explained in paragraph three of the admission conditions and instructions, and submit them to the submission center at the Institute of Home Arts (the abolished Girls' College) To be continued please - H
