An O in the Grade column indicates that a candidate was entered for the subject but has been marked 'ABSENT'.

In Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Biology and Geology, two grades will appear (e.g. 6 6). The first represents the grade obtained in the subject
as a whole including the practical test, and the second the grade for the practical test on its own.

If a candidate has failed in a subject because of poor English or inferior presentation of the work a separate notification to this effect will be sent.

No further information about performance in the examination will be supplied by the University. The decisions of the Examiners, which have been
reached after the most careful consideration, are final.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS GOVERNING THE AWARD OF CERTIFICATES IN CERTAIN AREAS

Private Candidates sitting for the examination in Aden, Argentina, Kenya, Mauritius, Somali Republic, Tanganyika and Zanzibar are required to pass in a
prescribed minimum number of subjects in order to qualify for the award of a certificate. If you are one of these candidates and have not qualified
for a certificate the word 'FAILED' will appear in the space immediately below your Candidate Number. If there is nothing in the space it
indicates that you have qualified for a certificate. If, however, you possess one of the necessary exempting qualifications and are eligible for a certificate
in respect of any subjects passed, the word 'FAILED' will not appear even if you have not passed in any subjects.

Certificates

Certificates for successful candidates will be sent to the Overseas Authority for distribution as soon as possible after the publication of these results.
Candidates who have passed in subjects at both levels will receive two certificates, one for Ordinary level subjects and another for Advanced.

1 - Iraq State Baccalaureate Examination for Primary Education in June 1956, ranking 12th among 15 candidates from Frank Iny Primary School. - This examination is, in standard, equivalent roughly to the Common Entrance Examination of the English Schools or to grade 7 of the American Schools.

2 - Certificat d'Etudes Primaires Examination conducted in Baghdad by a special Commission from the Lebanon, in May 1957, ranking 30th among 44 candidates from Frank Iny School.

3 - Brevet Elementaire Examination in French, Literary Section conducted in Baghdad by a special Commission from the Lebanon in May 1959, ranking 8th among 15 candidates from Frank Iny School.

4 - Iraq State Baccalaureate Examination for Intermediate Education in June 1959, ranking 16th among 32 candidates from Frank Iny School.

Prior to her joining Frank Iny Primary School in October 1951, Miss C. J. Balboul did two years of Primary Schooling at the old-established Alliance School in Baghdad, which was united with Frank Iny Primary School in October 1951.

While in Frank Iny School and Shamash Secondary School, both of which are under the same administration, the above candidate was always diligent and of good character.

On one occasion she won a school prize in writing the best story in French among some six contestants.

Miss C.J. Balboul is now eligible for entry into any Higher Institute of University standard in Iraq. - She is physically and mentally quite fit. I recommend her for further studies abroad as a fair candidate.
