In application of the text of paragraph - A - of Article (16) of the Secondary Schools Regulation No. 54 of 1954 in letter
and spirit, the following steps must be followed when private and foreign schools request lectures to be given by one of the
official staff teachers -
1 - It is not permissible for official secondary school teachers to deliver any lecture in a private school unless they have filled the
vacant hours in their school, if any.
2 - The number of proposed lectures may not exceed (8) hours per week for each teacher.
3 - The number of lectures for principals of official secondary and intermediate schools in private and foreign schools
may not exceed (6) lectures per week. Likewise, for the assistants of these schools, (10) lectures
per week.
4 - The teacher nominated to deliver lectures must obtain a letter from the principal of their official school
indicating that they have no lectures in their school and that they have not previously obtained another letter from them stating there is no objection
to them delivering lectures in private and foreign schools.
5 - The principal or teacher who violates these instructions and who is negligent in applying them exposes themselves to disciplinary
penalties.
6 - All approvals issued by this Ministry or your Directorate regarding lectures in private and foreign schools
are considered cancelled unless they are contrary to what is stated above.
7 - Please notify all secondary and intermediate school administrations of these instructions and act accordingly.
