Greetings,
With reference to your letter No. 3345/9 dated 9 / 4 / 1952.
Please note the following:-
1- The lessor is only committed to sudden repairs resulting from the nature of the building as explained in paragraph
four of the special lease agreement; as for repairs resulting from the occupancy of the building (as is
the subject of the repairs requested in your above-mentioned letter), they are the responsibility of the lessee.
2- In addition to that, your directorate has previously spent a portion of the first installment for the purpose of repairs,
as 40 Dinars (forty Dinars) were spent for the purpose of repairing some of the school facilities as confirmed
in your letter No. 8421/9 dated 20 / 11 / 1951.
Therefore, we request that, in implementation of the lease agreement, these repairs be carried out at your expense.
Please accept our highest respect.

Honorable Vice President
Greetings,
Subject - The first installment of the rent for the Saleh Sassoon Daniel School
in Hillah for the year 51-52
We traveled to Hillah on 11/20/1951 and met with both the Director of Education of the Province and the Director of its Treasury
<del>and the</del> to receive the first installment of the rent for the Saleh Sassoon Daniel School in Hillah leased to the Directorate of
Education according to the contract signed on 10/5/951 for an amount of 300 Dinars annually. The account was settled with me
as follows:-
Fils | Dinar
... | 150 | The first installment according to the contract
Dinar | Fils
... | 15 | Property tax at a rate of 10%
... | 10 | Repairing and cleaning the toilets
... | 30 | For restoring the fence since the school
was taken for girls
... | 55 | Total amounts deducted (according to the letter of the Hillah Education Directorate
No. 8430/9 dated 11/20/951 attached
herewith)
⟦line⟧
... | 95 | The remainder of the rent received by check No. 31997 dated 11/20/51
on the Rafidain Bank in Hillah
Note ⟦line⟧
It is necessary to open a special account in our books for this school since the community entered into this contract in its capacity
as the agent for the Alliance Society in Paris, and it is mandatory that the rent amount remains independent.

1- Since the amounts spent were necessary for the school to enable it to
occupy it, I see no objection to the disbursement of the
spent amounts; however, I prefer that a letter be written to their director
stating that these expenses should not be repeated in the future,
especially since we are agents before our growth regarding the subject of spending
and its amount.
2- I support your last note regarding the necessity of opening a special account
in our books and keeping this amount independent at the
present time.
