Please note the following: -
1 - The secretary of this community attended before His Excellency the Director of Education of the Liwa on 8 / 11 / 1952, and he referred him to the official in charge
of the local administration accounts, where the lease contract for the Saleh Sassoon Daniel school building was signed for the year starting on 6 / 10 / 1952.
2 - Since the aforementioned school is in need of some repairs - as His Excellency the Director of Education informed us - we have decided to authorize Your Excellency
to spend no more than 15% (fifteen percent) of the annual rent to use what is necessary for the required repairs,
requesting you to kindly inform us of the amount spent upon their completion.
3 - We request you to kindly pay the rent in two installments if possible - after deducting 15% from it to remain with you for use as necessary
for the required repairs, and to kindly send a copy of the lease contract attached with the expenditure authorization memo.

With reference to your letter No. 1764 dated 8/30/1952, please note the following:-
1 - This presidency has previously approved the expenditure of an amount of (40) Dinars for the purpose of renovating some of the facilities of the mentioned school,
and the Directorate of Education of Hillah District deducted it from the first installment of this year as confirmed by its letter No. 8421/9 dated
11/20/1952.
2 - The renovations that may arise from the occupants of the building are carried out by the local board of directors in implementation of the third paragraph
of the contract, and the lessor party (the Presidency of the Community) only carries out sudden repairs in implementation of the fourth paragraph of the contract. What is meant
by sudden repairs - as agreed upon at the time with His Excellency the Director of Education of Hillah District - are repairs resulting from the nature of
the building, as is followed regarding the lease contracts of the community's schools with the Directorate of Education of Baghdad District.
3 - Accordingly, we see that the required renovations fall upon the leasing party to perform, and the presidency of this community is not obligated to them,
especially since it has carried out all the necessary renovations, the cost of which reached forty Dinars.
