Based on the request of the Hilla District Governorate, please order the renovation to be carried out by the local administration directly, provided that the amount does not exceed the sum allocated in the survey, i.e. (45/000 Dinars only). Also, we request that you send the lease agreement for the aforementioned school for the year 1953 - 1954, signed, along with the rent amount after deducting the property tax and the 45/000 Dinars allocated for the renovation, and we will return the contract after it is signed by the President of the Administrative Committee of the Jewish Community in Baghdad. We went to Hilla on 2/14/954 accompanied by your representative Mr. Sassoon and we inspected the school under discussion after meeting His Excellency the Director of Education of the Hilla Province, and you will find attached the inspection report organized by us amounting to 450/- Dinars for the necessary repairs required by the local authorities in Hilla. Therefore, we kindly ask you to send a copy of the inspection report to the competent authorities to obtain their approval to carry out the repairs according to the report by them or through them and under their supervision, as if we carry out the repairs ourselves it will cost us more in terms of guarantees and other things.
