To the esteemed parent or guardian of the student: William Sofair
From Grade: First Intermediate - A -
Please be informed that based on your son's / daughter's absences from school, the
total points deducted from his / her attendance marks up to the date of 4 / 28 / 1971 has reached
( 10 ) points, and the school administration would like to inform you that Article ( 47 ) of the
Secondary Schools System No. ( 60 ) of 1968, as amended by the
Amendment to the Secondary Schools System No. ( 63 ) of 1969 regarding absences
from school, stipulates the following: -
"A full attendance grade is considered one hundred each year, and two points are deducted from
attendance marks for every day a student is absent without a legitimate excuse. A student's absence for every four
separate lessons is considered equivalent to one day's absence from school. A student is considered to have failed
his grade if fifty-one points or more are deducted from his attendance, provided that the guardian is notified
when ten points or more are deducted and inquired about the reasons for the absence. A student may not
participate in the final examination if his absences exceed forty-five school days
regardless of the excuses."
Please take note of this and cooperate with the administration in monitoring your son / daughter and urging him /
her not to be absent from attendance in the future.
