Subject - Afrasiab Bey.
With reference to your letter numbered S/86 and dated 7 / 4 / 1932.
According to previously received reports, I am fully confident that Afrasiab Bey had gone
to the villages of Kuesta and Qadir Karam and remained there at the time of writing our letter No. S/60 dated 13 March
1932, but it is likely that he did not stay long and is not there now. I request orders to conduct
local investigations.

Copy of the investigation report
Date: 7 / 4 / 32, with reference to the letter of His Excellency the Governor of the Province, Secret No.
S / 1 / 235 dated 4 / 4 / 932, which involves recording the statement of -
Mustafa Beg bin Jaafar al-Sultan regarding his brother Reda Beg joining his maternal
brothers. The aforementioned person was summoned and recording his statement began as follows: -
Statement of Mustafa Beg bin Jaafar al-Sultan, residing in the village of Darka Sheikhan, belonging
to the Halabja district: -
Q - Do you remember the conversation you had at the house of His Excellency the Governor of the Province
one day when your brother Ahmed Beg surrendered himself to the government regarding your
youngest brother, Muhammad Reda Beg?
A - I remember that one day when I was at the house of His Excellency the Governor of the Province, and when
the conversation turned to my brother Muhammad Reda Beg, I mentioned there that I
had heard that my brother had joined my mother in Kirkuk, while I used to hear a little that he was with
my fugitive brothers when they fled from the village of Nowsud.
Q - You stated at the police department that your brother Muhammad Reda Beg lives with your mother in
Kirkuk and not with your fugitive brothers, so what is the reason for the discrepancy between both of
your statements at the police and before His Excellency the Governor of the Province?
A - What I mentioned at the police department and in the house of His Excellency the Governor was all
a matter of conjecture and estimation and not based on any fact, as I used to think -
previously that when my other brothers left Nowsud, my brother was with them, then I understood
that he was residing with my mother in Kirkuk, but the suspected truth is unknown to me and hidden from me
and until now I have not been able to ascertain the truth of the situation.
