After greetings:
On June 21, 1928, I submitted a petition to the esteemed Secular Council
complaining of my difficult situation and requesting the favor of increasing my meager salary; however, circumstances
prevented my request from being considered due to the exceptional conditions, the nature of which is not hidden
from Your Eminence.
Therefore, I found it necessary, being in the most critical of times, to submit to Your Eminence an exact
copy of the aforementioned petition, hoping for it to be considered with a sympathetic eye and for the
increase to be assigned starting from the date of the petition.

1928, by the Excellency the Respected President of the Lay Council to Moise Effendi

I hope by this to draw your Eminence's attention not to pay the salary of the mentioned Moise Effendi
considering that he did not perform the acting duties entrusted to him by the Excellency the Respected President
of the Council.

Subject: Reprimand for negligence ⟦and being late for work⟧
Further to our letter No. 527 dated 10/14/928 ⟦and our follow-up⟧ No. 530 dated
10/15/928
It pains us greatly to see you failing to perform your job duties as we informed you
recently. There is no doubt that such negligence committed by a responsible employee leads to obstructing -
the public interest.
Therefore, we saw no alternative but to warn you of the necessity of abandoning this ⟦defect⟧ and rushing
to take over the duties of the National School directorate, while drawing your attention to the fact that this department will deduct
the daily installment of your salary for the period in which you did not attend the National School, starting
from the 15th of this month.
It is hoped that after this letter you will respect the regulations as duty dictates,

His Excellency the Respectable President
Greetings and respect. According to your order, I met with Aboudi Effendi and I ⟦discussed⟧
with him the matter of the promissory note. After back and forth, it became clear that the transaction cannot proceed except by withdrawing
the promissory note and keeping it in the Alliance administration, through ⟦promises of⟧ Sassoon, the Director of the Alliance, since
in the terms of the contract found at the Alliance school, there is an article stating that if any destruction
or demolition occurs, the lease can be canceled. This is what we understood from Rabbi Heskel, Rabbi Shamil, and I followed up
again with Mr. Aboudi Effendi, ⟦it remains⟧, and he suggested what we mentioned above regarding withdrawing the promissory note and submitting it
to the Alliance administration.
And there is a second promissory note for the amount of fifty rupees only, which must be withdrawn as Rabbi Heskel
informed me that he received half the amount from the debtor, which is 25 rupees, and will receive the rest through facilitation.
This, and it must be noted that this transaction is dependent on the agent of the trustee of the Nuriel Endowments.

in the accountant's report above, we recommend withdrawing the aforementioned promissory note and keeping it in the Alliance administration
until the new contract is written ⟦...⟧ in March and when the aforementioned valid promissory note is referred to
the Nuriel Endowments, and the remaining twenty-five rupees are received from Rabbi Heskel and deposited in the treasury of
the Nuriel Endowments, and white tea gold is received in its stead. We request the settlement of
