The Tuberculosis Control informed us by its letter No. 1887 dated 8 / 5 / 1957
that some teachers, students, or school employees refuse to undergo chest examinations by mobile mass X-rays
conducted by the aforementioned directorate. Since this refusal diminishes the importance of the examination
on which it relies for tuberculosis control in Iraq and leads to leaving a portion of them without checking
their condition, and they may be infected with tuberculosis, thus becoming a source of infection for their peers, and
the efforts and financial costs spent on this examination become futile.
Therefore, we request that instructions be issued to all institutions and schools affiliated with you to support <del>the Directorate</del>
the aforementioned Directorate in its mission and not to allow any person to evade these examinations.

The Iraqi Artists Association in Baghdad will hold its first general annual exhibition under the patronage of
His Majesty the Great King on 10 / 5 / 57 until 25 / of it in the Royal Sports Club hall
in Adhamiya.
The exhibition will be open to visitors from the 11th to the 20th of this month between the hours of
9 - 12 AM and 5 - 9 PM.
Given the importance of this exhibition, which will include the works of Iraqi artists including painters,
sculptors, and architects, we request that you announce this to your students and organize special visits for them to the
mentioned exhibition.
