One of the most important characteristics of a student of knowledge is that their appearance be appropriate and acceptable, far from vulgarity. Therefore,
members of the teaching staff, especially female teachers and instructors, must be alerted to the necessity of paying attention
to a modest appearance befitting the educators of the generation, and they should urge male and female students to do the same.
Direction and supervision for the implementation of this shall be the responsibility of the inspection and administrations, and we hope that
the response to this will be immediate.
Please circulate this to all schools affiliated with your directorates and inform us.

What the Post, Telegraph, and Telephone Department receives from official and semi-official departments
in exchange for their international calls is not considered real revenue;
In addition, giving priority to calls made by these departments may deprive the treasury of the department
of real revenue from the public as a result of cancelling their calls which were delayed from abroad. Therefore
we request the favor of instructing the departments affiliated with you for the purpose of limiting official international calls
and restricting them to a number of responsible employees and working on not prolonging the call time as much as possible
for the purpose of providing the opportunity for civilians to make their international calls without any resentment, and we hope
that your efforts will be combined with ours in this regard to achieve the public interest, which is everyone's goal.

The High Committee for the Subscription of Donations for
Students Suffering from Tuberculosis

The Ministry of Interior authorized, by its letter No. 1017 on 26 / 5 / 1968, attached to us by the ministerial order
issued by the Ministry of Education No. 2263 on 12 / 6 / 1968, to conduct a general subscription throughout the
Republic to collect funds for students suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis who are staying at Al-Tuwaitha Hospital, and most of
these students are in a poor financial situation and deserve assistance to alleviate the psychological state they have suffered due to
their illness. The Ministry of Education has taken a commendable step in this regard, forming a committee to collect an amount of 2000 dinars from
all governorates of Iraq, similar to last year when the subscription was conducted. The funds were distributed to
the patients staying in the hospital by a committee there in the form of monthly salaries. We, in turn, appeal
to our brothers, members of the teaching staff, the students, and their parents to extend a helping hand to these miserable
needy people. We offer our thanks and appreciation to all schools throughout the Iraqi Republic that
contributed by providing donations to these students, headed by Al-Hariri Secondary School for Girls, which provided the highest amount,
which is 100 dinars. Below are some explanations related to the subscription:
First - | The Ministry of Education formed the High Committee for the Subscription from the following gentlemen | |
1- | Abdul Malik Ahmed Al-Yassin | Director of Education | Chairman
2- | Shaker Ghani Al-Adli | Inspector of Education | Member
3- | Badriya Muhammad Ali Al-Hashimi | Inspector " | Member
4- | Muhammad Yassin Al-Sheikhly | Assistant Director of Education | Accountant
Second - A subscription committee shall be formed in each school consisting of the school principal as chairman, the assistant principal, and a teacher or the school principal
and two members from the teachers, and the names of the committee shall be sent to the directorate.
Third - The school may follow the following methods to collect the subscription, in addition to any other method it finds appropriate for
that purpose.
1- Accepting voluntary cash donations from teachers and others.
2- Holding parties and sports displays with admission fees.
3- Conducting lotteries and auctions under the supervision of the directorate committee in addition to the school committee.
4- Agreeing with cinemas to show suitable cinematic films, the proceeds of which will go to the donation account.
Fourth - The collected funds shall be sent via an official letter to the committee's accountant, Mr. Muhammad Yassin, accompanied by a list of names of
the donating individuals and entities and the amounts they donated in exchange for a receipt.
We request school administrations to expedite the formation of committees and develop plans to collect funds and urge their colleagues,
children, and parents of students and others to donate and send them. For the project is charitable and noble, aimed at rescuing our dear
students from their terrible disease. May God grant everyone success in doing good.
