Respected Sir:
Guardian of the student:
From:
Sixth Grade Primary: E
It is no secret to you that the intermediate classes in this school are of two types - the first type
includes classes in which the study is in the Arabic and English languages only - and the second type
includes classes in which the study is in the Arabic and French languages in addition to the English
language. The second type is usually stronger in its academic level.
In order for the school administration to ensure, when registering students in the first intermediate class at the beginning
of the next school year, whether the primary school graduate is able to follow his lessons in
the French branch or not, we have decided to conduct a special exam in the French language and (Calcul)
which we have called "Entrance Exam to the French Branch for the First Intermediate Class." Any student
who passes the Baccalaureate exam for primary studies will be allowed to participate in this exam, which will be held
at the end of the current summer vacation. No students will be accepted into the French branch in the next school year
19 - 19 except those who pass this exam successfully.
Therefore, it was necessary to bring your attention to this aspect and to take interest in teaching your son during the summer
vacation the French language, as this may help prepare him to a degree that guarantees his success in the entrance exam.
Please accept our highest respect.

First -- Submission of the average grades for the second quarter of the academic year (i.e., the average of December and January)
and the average grades for the first half of the current academic year during the week starting on
Sunday morning, January 24, 1954, provided that this is not delayed beyond Friday,
January 29, 1954, so that the administration can record these grades in the school registers
and grade cards and distribute them to students before the mid-year exam.
Second - The mid-year exam begins on Monday, February 8, 1954, and ends at the close of Tuesday,

Accordingly, classes will resume after the holiday on the morning of Sunday, February 21, 1954.
Third - Oral exams in Arabic, English, French, and Religion for all classes are conducted immediately after
the written exams during the mid-year exam days, provided that each teacher informs the students

the course of daily teaching and that the administration is informed of these times and students are notified
of them as well by the specialized teacher.
Fourth - The mid-year exam schedule has been posted in the teachers' room, so please review it immediately and contact
the assistant to provide any observations requested by the teachers in this regard to finalize the schedule and make it
final before Tuesday, January 26, 1954.
Fifth - The administration is ready to provide every teacher or lecturer with Roneo paper and Stencils
if they wish to print the questions, and they must personally type the questions on the typewriter or write them
by hand on the Stencil paper and supervise their printing and burn the drafts, as the administration
wishes the responsibility for printing the questions to rest solely with the teacher.
Sixth - Please submit the mid-year exam questions to the administration before Friday, January 29, 1954,
in one copy only if the teacher decides to print them by Roneo, or three copies if they decide otherwise.
The writing of the questions must be very clear, and a separate question sheet should be placed for each subject and each class

Conditions for electing ideal female and male students for the various classes
The basis upon which our schools proceed in electing the ideal female or male student is as follows =
(a) The quality of diligence in study must be proven, and being first is not required as a basic condition.
(b) Being known for virtuous character and good behavior inside and outside the school.
(c) Relationships with others must be satisfactory, and built on the basis of cooperation and public service.
How is the election conducted?
First - The passing grade must be 75% or above in the averages of all subjects except for the subjects of
Religion and Drawing.
(1) The average is taken between the grades of the first quarter of the school year (i.e., the average of the monthly grades of
October and November) with the grades of the second quarter for each subject, and this is called the average of
the first half for the subject.
(2) This average is added to the mid-year exam grade for that subject and divided by two, resulting in
the final grade for the subject.
(3) If the result of this process shows that the student - did not fail in any of the subjects
except Religion and Drawing, then the average of the grades of all his subjects except Religion and Drawing is taken.
(3) Anyone whose final grade average was 75% or above is nominated for election to the ideal status.
Second - If it happens that there is only one student in the class who obtained 75% of the grades or above, then ⟦illegible⟧
the ideal status is confirmed for him by acclamation, and there is no need then to conduct an election.
Third - If no student in the class obtains an average of 75% or above, that class is deprived of electing
any ideal student for it in that year.
Fourth - The school administration has the right to disqualify any candidate if it is convinced of the candidate's unsuitability
due to reports submitted against him.
Fifth - It is hoped that the students will behave well in the election process so that the elected student is
the correct ideal for the class. And that they avoid bias and propaganda that are out of place.
Sixth - The election is conducted in the class as follows -
(a) The names of the candidates are written on the class board.
(b) A small white paper with the school stamp is distributed to each male and female student present in the class.
(c) The name of the candidate is written on this paper without the voter mentioning his name on it, then the
votes are sorted on the board. At that time, whoever obtains the majority of votes deserves the ideal status.
(d) A student absent on the day of the election has no right to authorize another student for the purpose of voting.
(e) If the votes are equal between two or more candidates, the election is repeated immediately and
the candidates this time will be the students who obtained the largest number of equal votes.
(f) If the votes are equal for the second time as a result of the election, the administration may elect the ideal one from
among these candidates.
