After greetings,
With reference to your two letters dated September 11, 1952;
We inquired with Mr. Jacob Shlomo via our letter No. T/2771/52 dated 20 / 10 / 1952
as to whether you are among those entitled to the right of transfer in the Miri lands belonging to the late Ezra Menachem Daniel; he replied to us
via his letter dated 22 / 10 / 1952 (("that the late Ezra Menachem Daniel has passed away and his Miri lands
transfer to his paternal grandfather, the late Saleh Menachem Daniel, and the stepmother, the late Rahma bint Daoud Qahtan, and the
maternal uncle, the late Abdullah Shlomo, and his maternal aunt, the late Rachel bint Fi Hayyim, due to the absence of children or branches
of parents or branches of parents or a wife for the deceased, the late Ezra Menachem Daniel. Therefore, those lands transfer to the late
Saleh Daniel and his wife, and after them they transfer to their children, who are Sassoon, Rima, and Nozha, the children of Saleh Daniel and their branches.
Accordingly, the maternal uncle and aunt, and the paternal and maternal grandfather and grandmother have no share in the transfer according to the law."))
2 - We also inquired with Mr. Sami al-Naqshali (via His Excellency Professor Arif al-Suwaidi) regarding the matter, and he replied to us
with the same answer received from Mr. Jacob Shlomo mentioned in the first paragraph.
It appears from this that you are not among those entitled to the right of transfer in those Miri lands.
Please accept our highest respect.

You know, our Master President of the Community, that our kinship is that our late grandfather Daoud Yehuda was the cousin of the late Menachem Daniel. As for the name of Menachem's mother, it was Rahma, and the name of Daoud Yehuda's mother was Hanna, as we believe. According to our information from the Baghdad Peace Judge, Mr. Burhan al-Din al-Kilani, we are entitled to the inheritance through this kinship, and you must know the exact names from the Rabbinate records in your area, because we left Iraq in 1930 and we still hold Iraqi citizenship. We request you to register our name in the list with those claiming the inheritance, and many thanks to your position. Please accept our highest respect, and may you remain well.
