To the honorable members of the community
My honorable brothers
Since the Secretariat of the Capital has informed this Presidency of its intention to open a street that cuts through
the old cemetery, and its request to take the necessary measures to relocate the graves that obstruct the alignment
of the aforementioned street to locations outside the alignment.
And since this matter concerns every member of this community given that this
cemetery contains the graves of their relatives, we therefore ask the honorable brothers to attend the headquarters of the Community Presidency on the morning
of Sunday, corresponding to 29 / 3 / 1953, at ten-thirty in the morning for the purpose of deliberating on the subject.

The Respected Mr. Jacob Shaul Yehuda

After greetings,
With reference to your two letters dated September 11, 1952;
We inquired with Mr. Jacob Shlomo via our letter No. T/2771/52 dated 20 / 10 / 1952
as to whether you are among those entitled to the right of transfer in the Miri lands belonging to the late Ezra Menachem Daniel; he replied to us
via his letter dated 22 / 10 / 1952 (("that the late Ezra Menachem Daniel has passed away and his Miri lands
transfer to his paternal grandfather, the late Saleh Menachem Daniel, and the stepmother, the late Rahma bint Daoud Qahtan, and the
maternal uncle, the late Abdullah Shlomo, and his maternal aunt, the late Rachel bint Fi Hayyim, due to the absence of children or branches
of parents or branches of parents or a wife for the deceased, the late Ezra Menachem Daniel. Therefore, those lands transfer to the late
Saleh Daniel and his wife, and after them they transfer to their children, who are Sassoon, Rima, and Nozha, the children of Saleh Daniel and their branches.
Accordingly, the maternal uncle and aunt, and the paternal and maternal grandfather and grandmother have no share in the transfer according to the law."))
2 - We also inquired with Mr. Sami al-Naqshali (via His Excellency Professor Arif al-Suwaidi) regarding the matter, and he replied to us
with the same answer received from Mr. Jacob Shlomo mentioned in the first paragraph.
It appears from this that you are not among those entitled to the right of transfer in those Miri lands.
Please accept our highest respect.

After greetings
Reference to your letter numbered T/1 / 377 / 52 and dated 10/20/1952 regarding the two letters received
by you dated September 16, 1952, from Messrs. Yaqub and Ishaq, sons of Shaul Yehuda, residing
in Beirut, claiming that they are relatives of the late Ezra Menachem Daniel, as their paternal grandfather named Daoud
Yehuda is the son of the maternal aunt of the late Menachem Daniel, and requesting verification as to whether they are among those entitled to the right of transfer
in the Miri lands belonging to the late Ezra Menachem Daniel. And you in turn are requesting from us to inform you whether
these individuals are included in the inheritance or not - we inform you of the following:-
The late Ezra Menachem Saleh Daniel has passed away, and his Miri lands are transferred to his paternal grandfather, the late
Saleh Menachem Daniel, and his paternal grandmother, the late Rahma daughter of Daoud Qahtan, and his maternal grandfather, the late Abdullah Shlomo
and his maternal grandmother, the late Rachel daughter of Faraj Hayyim, due to the absence of children, descendants, parents, or descendants of parents
or a wife for the deceased, the late Ezra Menachem Daniel. Therefore, those lands are transferred to the late Saleh Daniel
and his wife, and after them they are transferred to their children, who are Sassoon, Rima, and Farha, the children of Saleh Daniel and their descendants.
Accordingly, the maternal uncle and maternal aunt of the paternal and maternal grandfather and grandmother have no share in that transfer according to the law
and for this reason we have explained that to you.
As per your request, we return the two mentioned letters to you, and remain with respect.

After greetings and respect, Yaqub Shaul Daoud Ishaq Yehuda is honored to inform you that the late Ezra Menachem Daniel, who left his Miri properties
as an inheritance to each of his relatives, is also one of our relatives. You know, our Master President of the Community, that our kinship is that our late grandfather Daoud
Yehuda was the cousin of the late Menachem Daniel. As for the name of Menachem's mother, it was Rahma, and the name of Daoud Yehuda's mother was Hanna, as we believe.
According to our information from the Baghdad Peace Judge, Mr. Burhan al-Din al-Kilani, we are entitled to the inheritance through this kinship, and you must know
the exact names from the Rabbinate records in your area, because we left Iraq in 1930 and we still hold Iraqi
citizenship. We request you to register our name in the list with those claiming the inheritance, and many thanks to your position.

After greetings and peace, we had sent you a letter dated the 12th of this month regarding the inheritance of Miri lands, i.e., the private Tabu
belonging to the late Ezra Menachem Daniel, and we had mentioned in the aforementioned letter that Mr. Burhan al-Din al-Kilani had expressed an opinion that we have
a right in the matter in relation to our kinship to the aforementioned deceased. However, the fact is that Mr. Burhan al-Din al-Kilani did not express an opinion to us on
the matter because he does not fully know our case, and everything we wrote about that was a misunderstanding on our part through a friend who, it appeared, did not

we have the right to inherit from the Miri lands, and with many thanks, may you remain [in peace].

Subject: Request for female and male teachers for the Frank Iny School
To -
The Honorable Consul General
Embassy of the Republic of Egypt - Cairo
Greetings,
We kindly ask you to consider the following:
1- The movement to revoke Iraqi citizenship from the majority of the members of this community has significantly affected the status of the institutions belonging to the Presidency of this community, including schools, hospitals, and other charitable committees, as their numbers have decreased and they are suffering from a shortage of specialized staff to manage and operate them to achieve their purposes.
2- The Presidency of this community is left with only one school consisting of the three levels: primary, intermediate, and preparatory (secondary) combined. The Presidency of the community was forced to make it co-educational due to the small number of remaining male and female students, which makes it impossible to open an independent school for each of them separately.
3- Most of the female and male students of this school, known as the Frank Iny School, are former students of the Alliance schools, whose curriculum is primarily based on French language lessons in literature and science.
4- The French language positions in this school became vacant after the departure of Monsieur Diane and Madame Diane, the directors of the Alliance schools, to France, and the departure of other female and male teachers specialized in teaching this subject through the revocation of citizenship to outside Iraq.
5- We contacted the Alliance Israelite Universelle in Paris, requesting their assistance in providing specialized female and male teachers to teach the French language in this school, but the association was unable, despite the efforts it made, to fulfill our request, nor did it succeed in filling the aforementioned vacancies with Iraqi female and male teachers.
6- Therefore, the Presidency of this community decided to contact you, requesting your assistance in providing female and male teachers holding the certificates specified below to teach the following subjects:-
A- A female or male teacher holding a ⟦Alliance⟧ Licentiate degree in French literature with experience in teaching in secondary schools, and who is prepared to prepare some of the school's female and male students to pass the (Certificat d'Etudes Primaire) exam and others to pass the (Brevet Elementaire) exam at least. It is preferred that they have sufficient readiness to teach French literature in the fourth preparatory classes if necessary.
Certificat
( Brevet Elementaire )
B- A female or male teacher holding a Licentiate degree in French Science and Mathematics with experience in teaching these subjects in the French language in secondary schools, prepared to prepare some of the school's female and male students to pass the exam.

7- Therefore, this Presidency requests your Excellency to kindly assign those you rely on from the Rabbinate staff to contact the relevant
authorities to prepare the female and male teachers mentioned in the previous paragraph and kindly inform us of the salaries they request
and other conditions under which they agree to undertake the teaching mission in our school
And in view of the impossibility of granting an entry visa (visa) to Iraq to a person of the Mosaic faith, we request the selection of these teachers
from among non-Mosaics
8- I take this opportunity to salute the noble qualities embodied in your Excellency, and I specifically mention your love for helping and supporting charitable
and humanitarian institutions to achieve their goals arising from public interests; this is what encouraged me to write to your Excellency
requesting your assistance in this matter.
Before concluding this letter, we wish your Excellency good health and a long life, and we await your Excellency's reply;
