4- In Chapter Nineteen, the following shall be observed:
Problems related to explosive gases are solved according to the usual chemical calculation methods, considering them as
normal combustion.
5- The following is deleted from Chapter Eleven:
a- Heat of reaction and Hess's Law
b- Law of Mass Action
6- The decay of radioactive elements is deleted from Chapter Twelve.
7- Chemical equivalents for oxidizing and reducing agents are deleted from Chapter Fourteen, and no
mathematical problems shall be given on them.
8- The following is deleted from Chapter Fifteen:
a- Classification of chemical substances b- Döbereiner's triads c- Newlands' classification
9- The following is deleted from Chapter Sixteen:
a- Volumetric and gravimetric composition of water
10- Ozone is deleted from Chapter Seventeen (it is sufficient to mention it as an allotrope of oxygen).
11- Air analysis is deleted from Chapter Eighteen.
General Chemistry Curriculum for the Fifth Scientific Grade

The prescribed textbook is studied starting from Chapter Nineteen to the end of the book, taking into account the following:-
1- Fluorine is deleted from Chapter Nineteen (its preparation, existence, properties, and chlorine and oxygen acids
(Hypochlorous, Chloric, Perchloric).
2- The following is deleted from Chapter Twenty-One:-
a- Phosphine
3- The entire Twenty-Second Chapter is deleted except for arsenic poisoning and its detection.
4- The following is deleted from Chapter Twenty-Three:-
a- Producer gas b- Cyanogen gas c- Hydrocyanic acid d- Water gas
5- (Rubber. Turpentine) are deleted from Chapter Twenty-Six.
6- The entire Thirty-First Chapter is deleted.
7- The following is deleted from Chapter Thirty-Three:-
a- Potassium (its ores, locations, extraction, benefits, properties, comparison with sodium,
its hydroxide, due to its similarity to sodium).
8- Everything related to gold in Chapter Thirty-Four is deleted.
9- The following is deleted from Chapter Thirty-Six:-
a- Everything present about magnesium b- Zinc carbonate
10- Aluminum alloys are deleted from Chapter Thirty-Seven.
11- In Chapter Thirty-Nine, it is sufficient to teach the reactions of potassium dichromate and potassium
permanganate, and the rest of the chapter's contents are omitted.
12- Nickel is deleted from Chapter Forty.

Literature and Texts for the Fifth Grade - Literary Branch
(1) Introduction to the literary life of the Abbasid eras, explaining them and the characteristics
of literature in them. With a clear reference to the emergence of regions and environments.
(2) Texts of poetry showing the mixing of civilizations and texts showing various purposes
explained and commented on critically. Biography of a poet (such as Abu Tammam and Abu Firas) and introduction
to others.
(3) Prose texts showing the mixing of civilizations and texts showing various types of prose such as oratory,
will, letter, tale, and Maqama. Biography of a writer (Al-Jahiz) and introduction to others.
(4) Introduction to Andalusian literature, explained poetic texts, lost. Muwashshah.
And a biography of a poet (Ibn Zaydun), introduction to others, a word on prose.
Note: Students study no less than (300) verses and (150) lines and memorize
(150) verses and (50) lines distributed over the studied texts with
consideration for citation and representation.
