Subject / Formation of the Printing Office
It is one of the goals of the National Union of Iraqi Students to push students toward the paths of science and knowledge and to prepare
all means by which the student can have everything he needs within reach.
Based on what was approved by the first conference for university education regarding the National Union of Iraqi Students,
Baghdad Branch, forming a printing office in both Arabic and English languages equipped with all capabilities to
prepare study materials for students faster and at cost price. Aiming thereby to prevent the phenomenon of enrichment at the expense
of students and their exploitation, so we hope for cooperation with us to make this pioneering experiment a success and to instruct all
schools affiliated with you to provide the materials to be printed to the union committees in the schools to deliver them
to the printing office. Note that the office will begin its work on 20 / 9 / 1971.

Student Union Speech
Student Day, the Thirteenth Anniversary, Baghdad 11-22-1972
Mr. Respectable Director
My respectable male teachers and my respectable female teachers
Our country celebrates today the eleventh anniversary of Student Day, which is a day
dear to us that our General Union has adopted to take pride in us, just as some
countries have adopted similar holidays for workers, farmers, and mothers.
And this holiday of ours is among the most important holidays, the highest in value, and the greatest
in significance, because the future and dignity of the nation depend on the students.
And those who think that the future of their country depends on its
mineral, industrial, and agricultural wealth without preparing
the scientists, technicians, and experts who will manage those facilities
with efficiency, merit, and worthiness in the coming days, may be mistaken.
Indeed, the nation whose children head to their kindergartens and schools
and its youth to their universities, institutes, laboratories, and libraries
guarantees a prosperous future, a happy life, and abundant dignity
because those are the ones who will achieve glory, pride, and sovereignty for it.
As for the nations whose children drift to alleys and pathways
and its youth to the streets and squares, it is a nation doomed to extinction
and loss.
My fellow students:
Our state, which has allocated a holiday for us through the efforts of the Union
⟦illegible⟧
Our students, out of pride in our college, it is our duty to thank, respect,
and appreciate it, and we must fulfill its hope in us through diligence and hard work,
fostering a spirit of cooperation among us, respecting our professors, and complying
with their orders. By doing so, we fulfill their hope, the hope of the state, and the students' union
in us to truly serve our country, and thereby benefit our country's
happy past and contribute to the service of humanity and peace.
