Revolutionary thought, valuable books, and the committed pen are factors of an awakening that achieves
miracles. Let us all take them as tools to serve our revolution, and let us renew the pledge on our feast day
to achieve our slogan for which we struggle: (( Education in the service of the revolution ))
The feast of the first of March is a clear indication of the revolution's embrace of science and its men,
and an opportunity in which those struggling against backwardness and ignorance renew the pledge of loyalty to the masses
and to their leadership to move always and with broader steps toward a better future.
Salute to the revolution and to the President, the fighting leader Ahmed Hassan al-Bakr
and to his heroic comrades.
And salute to you, O teachers, and glory to our martyrs.
