There appeared Mizra Zion Hakham Heskel Haron Levi, the trustee of the endowments for poor children and orphans among the students of the two
Talmud Torah schools located in Baghdad, pursuant to the deed of trusteeship issued by the Court of Personal Matters in Baghdad dated
2 / 3 / 931 and numbered 931/58. After he was identified by the two identification witnesses, Gurji Heskel and Salman Al-Kabir,
he stated, while in full possession of his mental faculties, maturity, and choice, as follows: -
Due to my travel to Australia, I request the appointment of a trustee in my place to manage and preserve the endowments of the two Talmud
Torah schools and to collect their yields and rents, in addition to the second trustee, Hakham Heskel Levi, according to what was stated in the deed of
trusteeship mentioned above, and he requested the issuance of a deed of trusteeship as an amendment to the deed mentioned above.
Accordingly, and whereas the petitioner, the previous trustee, intends to travel outside Iraq, and based on the letter from the Presidency of the Jewish Community
in Baghdad, which included the nomination of Heskel Dawoud Shattoub ⟦by⟧ the Jewish Lay Council, in addition to
his position and whoever succeeds him in this ⟦place⟧, to be a trustee over the endowments of the poor along with the second trustee, Moshi Heskel Levi, and based
on the personal testimony heard, which stated that ⟦the aforementioned⟧ is a man of good character and fit for the position of trusteeship,
and with the agreement of Heskel Dawoud Shattoub to the trusteeship in partnership with the second trustee, it was decided to appoint Heskel Dawoud Shattoub as trustee over
the endowments of poor children and orphans among the students of the two Talmud Torah schools in partnership with the second trustee, Moshi Hakham Heskel
Haron Levi, instead of the previous trustee ⟦Mizra Zion⟧ Hakham Heskel Haron Levi. This was recorded as requested on
