To the Honorable Director of Education of Baghdad Brigade / Rusafa
Greetings.
We return to you the original petition of the student Helwa (Farah) Hesqail Shina from the sixth grade in our school
dated 20 / 5 / 1960 with the request to note the following:-
First - We have previously sent under our letter No. F / 140 / 60 dated 2 / 5 / 1960 lists of the names of students
of the sixth grade from our school with the annual pursuit grades for each of them with details of the grades of the different
semesters of the academic year and from those lists it is clearly shown that the student Helwa (Farah) Hesqail Shina
whose petition is attached to this letter has failed in four subjects including the Arabic Language subject
and we list below once again the grades of the aforementioned for confirmation.
Subject | First Half Average | Mid-year Exam Grade | Second Half Average | Annual Pursuit Average
Religion | 44 | 20 | 55 | 40
Arabic Language | 43 | 30 | 46 | 40
English Language | 35 | 50 | 45 | 43
Geography | 25 | 65 | 60 | 50
History | 46 | 52 | 55 | 51
Civics | 43 | 73 | 64 | 60
Arithmetic | 59 | 50 | 53 | 54
General Science | 32 | 34 | 48 | 38
Second - The administration of this school is very keen to apply the rules of justice and fairness with accuracy in
all its work, especially in giving grades to all students, each according to their merit, in all <del>⟦illegible⟧</del>
exams, whether they are semester or final. The administration is fully convinced that the members of the
teaching staff follow this same long-standing path at all times. One of the primary goals of our school is
rewarding the diligent and industrious and guiding the lazy and advising them to follow the right path.

Thirdly - The claims contained in the petition of the aforementioned student are incorrect, and her results in
this regard are like any weak student; they always and forever place the responsibility for their failure and delay on the school and teachers.
Fourthly - The improper behavior toward the school administration exhibited by this student's guardians upon
learning of the result of her failure, in which they threatened to complain to the Ministry of Education with the intent of causing a disturbance against the school,
aims, as it appears, to set a precedent for some other students in other classes who are not expected
to succeed due to their weakness or neglect of their studies during the academic year, so that they may resort to the same
method of complaining to the Ministry of Education with the intent of causing a disturbance and clinging to securing their success from now without merit.
Please accept the highest expressions of respect.
