1. The supply will be distributed on the four-wire alternating current systen, 50 cycles, or direct current 2 or 3 wires.
١ - يوزع المجرى الكهربائي على اربعة اسلاك اذا كانت اصول المجرى متراوحة ذات ٥٠ دورة او على سلكين او ثلاثة اسلاك اذا كانت اصول المجرى متواصلة .
2. The Company's service will end at the house cut-out box, which will be fixed in a position selected by the Company's Engineer. The Contractor carrying out the installation must run his mains up to the cut-out box, leaving sufficient length of cable to connect to the meter and other apparatus. The cut-out box, or main fuse, must not be interfered with by the Consumer, and, in the event of the fuses melting from any cause, the Company's officials only may renew them. Double or triple pole main switches and cut-outs must be provided and fixed by the Consumer as close as possible to the meter. In the case of three-wire services the switch must be properly protected, so that the terminals cannot be touched inadvertently; the switch handle projecting through the case so that the switch can be operated without removing the cover.
٢ - ينتهي سلك الشركة في صندوق قطع المجرى الذي في دار المستهلك وسيركز هذا الصندوق في محل يختاره مهندس الشركة . على المتعهد الذي يقوم بالتركيبات ان يمد اسلاكه الى صندوق قطع المجرى تاركا طولا كافيا من الاسلاك لوصلها الى المقياس او الى جهاز آخر . لا يسوغ للمستهلك ان يتلاعب في صندوق قطع المجرى او الفتيلة الرئيسية ( فيوز ) واذا ذابت الفتائل ( الفيوز ) من جراء اي سبب كان لا يسوغ تجديدها الا من قبل موظفي الشركة فقط . على المستهلك ان يجهز زر الاسلاك ( سويج ) ويركزه في اقرب محل من المقياس واذا كانت التركيبات مؤلفة من ثلاثة اسلاك يجب صيانة الزر المذكور بصورة لا يتصل باسلاك الانتهاء ويجب ان تكون يدة الزر بارزة الى خارج الصندوق حتى يمكن تشغيلها بدون فتح الصندوق .
3. Separate Enclosed Fuses must be inserted on each phase, the fuses being so arranged that no one can touch, at the same time, the other phases.
٣ - فتائل منفردة :- يجب وضع فتيلة ( فيوز ) لكل سلك على حدة على ان توضع هذه الفتيلة بصورة لا تتصل بالفتيلة الاخرى .
4. Connecting up.—The Contractor, or the Consumer, must give 48 hours' notice in writing to the Company that the installation is complete. The necessary inspection and test of the insulation will then be made, and, if satisfactory, the connection to the mains will be completed; but the Consumer or his Contractor must not, on any account, connect up to the apparatus of the Company.
٤ - ايصال المجرى :- على المتعهد او المستهلك ان يخبر الشركة تحريرياً قبل ٤٨ ساعة من اكمال التركيبات وحينئذ تقوم الشركة بفحص التركيبات واذا وجدتها موافقة للمرام فتوصل التركيبات بالسلك الرئيسي ولا يسوغ للمتعهد او المستهلك ان يوصل التركيبات بجهاز الشركة .
5. Branch Switches.—The main switch is only an emergency switch, and must not be used for switching lights on and off in the ordinary way. No single pole switch must carry more than 5 amperes.
٥ - الازرار الفرعية :- لا يجوز استعمال الزر الرئيسي الا عند الضرورة فقط ولا يجوز استعماله عند تنوير واطفاء المصابيح ويجب ان لا يتجاوز المجرى عن الخمسة امبرات في الازرار ذات السلك الواحد .
6. Wiring.—All wiring must be carried out on the sub-distributing system; the Tree system will not be allowed. Each sub-circuit from the distribution fuse board shall have two single pole fuses, and shall not supply more than ten lamps of 60 watts each, or their equivalent. Joints where possible must be avoided, and no joints will be allowed in conductors which are bedded in plaster. On no account will double pole fuses be allowed, and the two single pole fuses must be efficiently separated from each other by an insulating division between them.
٦ - مد الاسلاك :- يجب وصل جميع الاسلاك بالاسلاك الرئيسية ولا يجوز اتخاذ اصول الشجرة ( الاسلاك المتشعبة ) كل سلك فرعي يتشعب من فتيلة ( فيوز ) التوزيع يجب وصله بفتيلتين على ان لا يؤخذ منه مجرى لاكثر من ١٠ مصابيح ذات ٦٠ واط لكل واحد او ما يساوي مجموعها ويجب التجنب عن عقد الاسلاك ببعضها على قدر الامكان ولا يسوغ عقد الاسلاك على الجدران المملوجة بالجص ولا يجوز قطعياً استعمال فتيلة مؤلفة من سلكين ويجب وصل الفتائل عن بعضها على ما يرام بوضع فاصلة بين بعضها . يجب تركيز جميع الاقسام المعدنية التي يجري فيها التيار على مادة غير قابلة للاحتراق ويجب وضع مسافة كافية بين الازرار والفتائل منعاً للتقوس . لا يجوز تركيب الفتائل على الازرار وعلى ازرار التقسيم او المعاليق السقفية .
All metal parts carrying current must be mounted on incombustible bases. Both switches and fuses must have a sufficient length of break to prevent arcing across. No fuses must be inserted in switches, plug sockets, or ceiling roses.
7. Size of Wires.—No conductor must be of a sectional area less than No. 18 S. W. G., except in flexible cords where used for wiring fittings. All conductors having a cross sectional area greater than No. 18 S. W. G. should be stranded.
٧ - حجم الاسلاك :- لا يجوز استعمال سلك يقل قطره عن الـ ١٨ درجة من سمك الاسلاك الا اذا كان من الاسلاك اللينة التي تستعمل في التركيبات ويجب جدل الاسلاك التي يزيد قطرها عن الـ ١٨ درجة من سمك الاسلاك .
No flexible cord should be used in damp or exposed situations, or where it may be easily damaged.

5. Price of Current.—The price of current used for lighting purposes and for fans will be at the rate of 7 (seven) annas per kilowatt-hour and for power purposes at the rate of 5 (five) annas per kilowatt-hour.

6. (a) Meters.—The Consumer may provide an integrating meter for his premises of a type approved by the Government otherwise the Company will supply the meter at a hire charge of 12 annas per month for meters carrying up to 2.5 K.W. and a reasonable charge for larger meters. The cost of repairs to a meter provided by the Consumer shall be paid by the Consumer.

(b) Accuracy of Meters.—Should any Consumer doubt the accuracy of the hired meter, he may, on giving notice to the Company, have the meter officially tested, when, if it is found to be inaccurate beyond the limits of 3 per cent allowed by the Concession, the Company will pay the cost of such test. If the meter is accurate, within the limits allowed by the Concession, the Consumer must pay the cost. If on any test the meter is found inaccurate a plus or minus adjustment will be made for the period since last reading.

7. Payments. Accounts shall be rendered monthly and should payment at any time be more than 15 days in arrears, the Company reserve the right after giving 48 hours' notice in writing to discontinue the supply of current until the amount owing has been paid together with a fee of Rs. 5 for reconnecting. In the event of any Consumer wishing to discontinue taking a supply he must give 3 days notice in writing to the Company, and, until the expiration of this notice, he will be responsible for any current consumed on the premises whether he may have ceased to occupy the premises or not.

8. Energy.—Will be supplied continuously night and day but the Company will not be responsible for any accidental failure of supply or to force majeure or to circumstances beyond the control of the Company. The Company shall be entitled to interrupt the service during certain hours up to an aggregate of eight hours per month for the purpose of testing the insulation or doing work on the distribution system. The Consumer is liable for damage to the Company's property on his premises whether such damage be due to fire or any other cause other than defects of the Company's property in question. For his own protection the Consumer is advised to include the meter in his Fire Insurance Policy.
٨ — القوة : تجهز القوة بصورة مستمرة ليلاً ونهاراً غير ان الشركة لا تكون مسؤولة عن انقطاع عارضي في تجهيز القوة او من جراء قوة قاهرة او لاسباب لا طاقة للشركة بها وللشركة الحق في قطع المجرى الكهربائي عدة ساعات على ان لا يتجاوز مجموعها ثماني ساعات في الشهر لفحص حصاناتها او للقيام في الاعمال على خطوط التوزيع ويكون المستهلك مسؤولاً عن الضرر الذي يصيب ممتلكات الشركة الموجودة في محله سواء أكان الضرر قد نجم من جراء حريق او من أي سبب آخر عدا ما يبلى من هذه الممتلكات العائدة للشركة وصيانة حقوق المستهلك ننصحه ان يدخل المقياس في بوليسته لتأمين الحريق .

9. Powers to Cut off Supply.—Should the insulation resistance of the Consumer's installation at any time fall below that set forth in the Company's Wiring Rules, or should the Consumer interfere with any meter, service box, connections or any of the Company's property or in any way make use of the supply so as to cause any ill effect or damage to the general public supply, or should any defect be discovered in the wires, fittings or apparatus within the Consumer's premises, the Company may, after due notice, or in case of emergency without notice, disconnect the premises, and such premises will not be again connected until the defects complained of have been rectified to the satisfaction of the Company, and the Company's testing fee of Rs. 5 has been paid.
٩ — الصلاحية لقطع القوة : اذا قلت مناعة اسلاك المستهلك عن الحد المعين في انظمة الشركة المتعلقة بتركيب الاسلاك او اذا تلاعب المستهلك في المقياس او في صندوق الاتصال او في الاسلاك او في اي من ممتلكات الشركة او اذا استعمل القوة بصورة تخل او تضر في التجهيز العام او اذا اكتشف عيب في الاسلاك او في التركيبات او في الاجهزة التي في محل المستهلك فللشركة بعد اعطاء الانذار اللازم ان تقطع المجرى عن المحل ولها ان تقطع المجرى الكهربائي في الاحوال الاضطرارية دون انذار ولا يعاد وصل المجرى الى المحل الا بعد ازالة التقصيرات المشتكى منها حسب رضاء الشركة وبعد ان تدفع للشركة اجرة الفحص البالغة خمس روبيات .

10. Access to Apparatus belonging to the Company.—The representatives of the Company shall be allowed, at all reasonable times, to enter Consumer's premises for the purpose of inspecting meters, or any other apparatus belonging to the Company. The Company's officials will produce their authority if required to do so.

11. Balancing.—Where the connected load of an installation is more than 20 amperes on direct current supply, the wiring must be on two separate and as far as possible equal circuits. When the connections are higher than 20 amperes on alternating current supply there must be three such circuits. Each circuit is to be carried back independently to the metering point.

12. General.—If a meter shall have stopped recording the adjustment of the account shall be based on the amounts of the corresponding payment period of the previous year and the hire charge for the meter shall not be payable during the period of such stoppage. If the stoppage occurred during the first year of supply the adjustment shall be based on the previous payment period.

NOW IT IS HEREBY AGREED AS FOLLOWS :-
1. Supply.—The Company shall supply electric energy to the Consumer up to a capacity of 580 watts, provided the Consumer takes all the electricity he uses on his premises from the Company, and provided the Consumer's installation conforms to the Wiring Regulations attached hereto.

١ على الشركة ان تجهز المستهلك بالمجرى الكهربائي وفقاً للشروط التالية لحد ٥٨٠ وطا على شرط ان يأخذ المستهلك من الشركة جميع القوة الكهربائية التي يستعملها في محله وعلى ان تكون تركيباته مطابقة للانظمة المرفقة بهذا العقد .
2. Period of Agreement.—This Agreement shall be for 24 months from the date hereof and may be determined by the Company under Clauses 7 & 9 hereof or by reason of the failure of the Consumer to comply with the general provisions of this Agreement or the Wiring Regulations attached hereto and may be determined by the Consumer under Clause 7 hereof.
٢ - مدة العقد .
يسري مفعول هذا العقد لمدة ٢٤ شهراً من تاريخه وللشركة ان تنهيه وفقاً لاحكام المادتين ٧ و ٩ (العدد الجديد) او لسبب تقصير من جانب المستهلك في تطبيق الاحكام العامة لهذا العقد او انظمة مد الاسلاك المرفقة بهذا العقد وللمستهلك ان ينهيه وفقاً لاحكام ٧ (العدد الجديد) من هذا العقد .
3. Deposit.—The Consumer shall make such deposit as the Company is entitled to require, or otherwise give security in respect of energy to be supplied, and of service lines belonging to the Company, and for proper care and custody of meters. Such security may be applied at the option of the Company in satisfaction of any sum due to the Company and may be retained by the Company for so long as a supply is required by the Consumer, and on the termination thereof will be repaid to the Consumer after deducting all sums due to the Company.
٣ - على المستهلك ان يقدم التأمينات التي يحق للشركة طلبها والا فعليه ان يقدم ضماناً عن المجرى الكهربائي الذي سيجهز له وعن الخطوط العائدة للشركة وعن محافظته على المقاييس (الميترات) وللشركة الخيار في تعيين هذا الضمان مقابل المبلغ المستحق للشركة ولها الحق في الاحتفاظ به ما دام يجهز المجرى الكهربائي الى المستهلك ولا يعاد دفعه الا بعد قطع المجرى وذلك بعد ان يطرح منه المبلغ المستحق للشركة .
4. Service Mains.—laid on the Consumer's property will be charged for, and all service mains laid on public or private roadways in excess of 50 yards of overhead and 20 yards of underground from existing mains will also be charged for. The total cost of laying additional services must be borne by the Consumer either in one payment or if desired by the Consumer the payment, with interest, may be spread over a reasonable period.
٤ - يستوفى ثمن خطوط الاتصال الممتدة على ملك المستهلك كما انه يستوفى ثمن خطوط الاتصال الممتدة على الطرق العامة او الخاصة لما يزيد طولها عن الـ ٥٠ ياردة اذا كانت من الاسلاك المعلقة او ٢٠ ياردة اذا كانت من الاسلاك الممتدة تحت الارض وذلك اعتباراً من الاسلاك الرئيسية الموجودة وعلى المستهلك ان يتحمل نفقات مد الاسلاك الاضافية اما دفعة واحدة او اذا رغب بالاقساط فتوزع على مدة مناسبة بعد اضافة الفائض .

10. Testing.—At least 48 hours' notice in
writing must be given to the Company's Engineer
that an installation is ready for testing. Before a
test is made all work must be completed, no
temporary wires or fittings being allowed. The
contractor must see that all lamps and fuses are
inserted and all switches turned on.

11. Additional Lights.—Notice must be given
to the Company of any additions or alterations to
the Installation; failure to give this notice may
damage the Company's apparatus, for which

it may also render it necessary for the Company
to cut off the supply without notice.

12. Non-Liability.—The Company only issue

the Consumers and such are not intended to take

Companies interested in the Consumer's property,
or, where such rules do not exist, of those issued
by the Institution of Electrical Engineers, England.
