Mr. President
From the depths of my grieving heart, I send you my
sincere thanks for your kindness and compassion toward a lonely wanderer who inhabited the darkness
of prisons, patiently swallowing the bitterness and cruelty of life, full of hope
and waiting for the mercy of God first and your efforts second.
No matter how much I express my gratitude to you, words are unable to express my deep
feelings toward your noble sympathy for my afflicted brother. I pray to the Almighty
to reward you for this deed of yours and that He brings us together one day
so that I may kneel before you and kiss your feet. (Surely we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return)
May God keep you as a treasure for us. Amen.
Please accept my sincere thanks and respect, sir.

Out of a desire to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the members of our club on one hand and the members of the
Iraqi Jewish community on the other hand through sports, we request permission to use
one tennis court and the basketball court of the community's playground adjacent to the Y.M.C.A. two days a week

Honorable President of the Jewish Community,
We are extremely surprised by your lack of response to our first letter, No. 27, dated 11/17/51.
It is truly regrettable that this is understood as a lack of interest in popular institutions, even with a simple answer. Yes
or no, both would serve the purpose.
This delay on your part, which has paralyzed our activities for nearly two months, is unjustified. Perhaps
we would have tried to find another field if you had kindly answered us with a refusal at least. Your lack of desire to
cooperate with any other national institution does not mean you are unaware of the protocols and rules of correspondence.
Therefore, we can only express our deep regret for what has happened. Please accept our greetings.

Regarding your request dated the 8th of it concerning the registration of the name of Mr. Victor Sassoon, who claimed that he was registered under his father's name on
3531/1/36 in General Register No. 17. Upon reviewing the relevant records, it appeared to us that his father, Mr. Sassoon, had registered in his name
under receipt No. 744 on the date mentioned above in his capacity as the head of household for his wife and his minor and adult children as shown below.
Since the aforementioned person had reached the age of majority on the registration date mentioned above, and since the financial instructions require that every
adult person be registered in the record as a head of household for himself with the collection of the registration fee and the annual subscription from him, we have registered the name of the aforementioned in the record
(G.S.D.) No. 100 under the article (Registration). Since the financial instructions require that the person pay
the registration fee and the annual subscription upon registration, and since the aforementioned person did not pay the fees mentioned above at the time, the amounts
shown below are owed by him. Please assist in collecting the mentioned amounts and sending them to us so that we can provide him with the required registration certificate.
One-time registration fee - 3 | Receipt value according to No. 14 - 1
Annual subscription fee for the year 56 - 5 | Annual subscription fee for the year 57 - 6
Annual subscription fee for the year 58 - 2 | Annual subscription fee for the year 59 - 7
Since the aforementioned person has admitted that he received the annual profits before registration, he is requested to visit the registration office on Tuesday
3531/1/26 according to the appointment set for him and under the receipt mentioned above so that we can audit the financial accounts and facilitate distribution.
After reviewing the records, there are no other requests in the name of Victor Sassoon in the general records on the date of your request mentioned above.

Following the review of some people who wish to rent some plots to build on them from the front of the cemetery accordingly
I have visited the cemetery and inspected the corner of the cemetery and surveyed my land in which no one is buried and found it extremely
suitable for construction and it would provide sufficient revenue without demolishing any grave. Therefore, I hope you decide to appoint someone
from your respected committee to determine the rents for that and to deliberate on the matter from all sides.

⟦According to our letter numbered⟧
⟦Chairman of the Committee⟧
⟦illegible⟧
To the Presidency of the Administrative Committee of the Jewish Community in Baghdad.
Greetings.
We present below the estimated budget for the Ezra Menahem Daniel Stadium amounting to (3000) Dinars and its deficit
of (1800) Dinars for the year 1953 / 1954. Please note that the income from student subscriptions in the stadium
is very small compared to the stadium budget, and that is due to our desire to encourage students to participate in sports activities
at the lowest possible cost.
The most important points that require consideration in the stadium are:
1- Greening the fields.
We have previously allocated an amount in our previous budget for greening all the field game areas and we have indeed
greened a part of them, but they have not all been greened yet. We hope to complete this work in the few coming
weeks.
2- Establishing permanent boundary lines for the fields.
To save on labor costs and the difficulties resulting from employing them to mark the fields constantly, we have seen
it more appropriate to place permanent lines for them using white cement molds, and we have already established a part of that
indeed.
3- Furnishing the stadium.
The urgent need to furnish the stadium was mentioned in our previous reports, but we have not taken any positive action in this
regard until now despite the complaints of the participants, but we will take this point into consideration in the future.
4- Construction of a swimming pool.
The intention was directed, according to our previous reports, towards the possibility of constructing a swimming pool in the stadium, and we
have allocated an amount to study this possibility. We still believe that the need to construct such a pool is urgent and in the interest
of the public benefit. Accordingly, we hope that when the estimated budget for this year is approved, you will express your views on this point
specifically and whether you wish for us to study this subject thoroughly and inform you of the results so that you can
study the financial possibilities, with the request to inform us if it is possible to bring such a project into existence
from the endowments of the late Ezra Menahem Daniel.
Please accept our highest respect.
