Subject: Student Punishment.
In view of the attempt by students Sami Shawqi Yaqub Dallal and Maurice Salim Ezra Shaya (both from the
first intermediate class A) to cheat on the Arithmetic and Algebra exam on Tuesday, 12/12/1961,
the administration has decided, based on the request of the specialized teacher, the following:
First - Their grade in Arithmetic and Algebra shall be zero.
Second - Deduction of fifteen points from the behavior average of each of them.
This is in accordance with Article forty-eight of the Secondary School Regulations No. (54), which
states the following:
"If it is proven that a student cheated in classroom examinations and tests or in the mid-year examination,
he shall be given a zero in that subject and punished by deducting fifteen points from his school behavior,
and if the cheating occurs in the year-end exam or the second session exam, he shall be considered as having failed in all
subjects."
Note that the administration has previously and repeatedly warned students that it will impose the severest punishments
against every student who attempts to cheat, and that it is fully committed to developing the spirit of integrity in work among students
and urging them to maintain good conduct as much as it cares for the scientific and cultural aspects.
