I, the undersigned Ibrahim Khalasji, acknowledge that I had rented from the trustee of the endowments of Heskel Menachem Daniel the house numbered 1/2/2 located in the Al-Bataween neighborhood belonging to the mentioned endowment for a period of one year from the first of January the year 954 until the end of 31 December the year 954 for a rent amount of 108/- Dinars which I paid in cash at the time. And on the date of 26/7/954 I have left the leased property, the mentioned house, and vacated it. And the person named Salih Al-Dujaili has occupied it and resided in it. And since five months and four days remained for me from the lease period, and the named rent for this period is 46/200 Dinars, by mutual consent I have now received from Mr. Meir Dangur, the general agent for the trustee of the mentioned endowments, the mentioned amount of 46/200 Dinars as the rent for the mentioned remaining period of the lease in full cash, on the condition that the endowment trustee has the right to demand from the aforementioned Mr. Salih Al-Dujaili and to collect from him the rent for the mentioned period which he occupied and resided in. Accordingly, I have no right, claim, nor anything else remaining against the mentioned endowment trustee or against the mentioned Salih Al-Dujaili, and therefore I gave this receipt written in Baghdad on 6/11/1955.
