The primary school curriculum has not allocated specific hours for the subject of calligraphy in the first grade of primary school because there is no
need to engage students at this stage with exercises that lead them to exhausting affectation in writing. For
it is assumed that the new learner in this grade should practice fluidity in writing without affectation and with as little
effort as possible until the hand movements in writing become automatic and fast, and at the same time calligraphy lessons in
the rest of the grades should also aim to achieve this same purpose and be taught by linking them to reading, writing, and dictation lessons. We also emphasize
that the duration of practice in calligraphy is not the factor in improving handwriting, but the sound method followed by the teacher
is the primary factor that has the greatest impact on success in that. Please circulate this to all primary schools in your province -
to act accordingly ⟦line⟧ .
