The administration of Shankar's Weekly magazine will hold the annual drawing competition for children for the year 1955, and therefore we
record for you below the conditions for participation in this competition, requesting that necessary steps be taken to urge the students of your province who meet
the mentioned conditions and have the necessary ability to participate with their drawings, provided they are sent directly to the magazine's administration address
mentioned hereafter, and they must reach them well before the specified deadline.
Conditions for Participation in the Competition
⟦line⟧
1- All children of the world whose age does not exceed sixteen, born on or after September 30, 1939, can
participate in the competition.
2- Drawings and paintings must be original, unassisted, and completed during 1955.
3- A participant cannot enter the competition - as it is periodic - more than six times.
4- Colored images and those drawn by any other means except pencil are accepted, provided the image size is not less than 8 x 10 and on any
subject chosen by the participant.
5- All information about the image must be written in English in the participant's own handwriting on one side of the drawing paper.
6- The participant must write their full name and address, date of birth (month and year), and gender (male or female) in block
letters; drawings that do not contain this information will be rejected.
7- More than one contribution can be sent in one envelope, provided the established instructions are followed.
8- Applications are sent to the following address, provided they reach them before September 30, 1955:
Shankers' Weekly Childrens' Number, Odeon Building, P.O. Box No. 218, New Delhi
India.
9- Prizes will be decided by the publisher (Shankar's Weekly) with the assistance of the judging panel, and the decision taken will be final.
10- No more than two prizes will be awarded to one participant, and the prizes will be announced in the magazine
