In view of the extreme and pressing need, this Ministry has decided to seize the house located
in the Diwaniyah Liwa belonging to Khedhouri Sassoon Moussa for the purpose of its occupation by the
Diwaniyah Single Court. When the owner was notified of this decision by the Liwa Governorate and requested
to appoint a representative for the committee formed therein to estimate its rental value, the aforementioned person
submitted a petition requesting to cease the completion of the seizure process of the house, based on the existence
of a holy well in it, which is an endowment for the entire Jewish community in the Liwa for the purpose of washing from it
according to religious custom. Therefore, we hope that you will confirm this to us and indicate whether
it is possible to dispense with this well from a religious standpoint so that we may consider the
matter as quickly as possible.
