Note: Arabic composition competitions were held among male and female students
of the fifth and sixth primary grades on 11 / 2 / 1967, and twenty-five
male and female students participated in these competitions. Their compositions were given as usual
to a number of judges for each to assign the mark that each composition deserves according to
certain standards stipulated in the system for awarding ⟦Shapour⟧ Cohen report prizes
and other prizes. After collecting the marks assigned by these judges,
the result showed that the students whose names are listed above were approximately
equal. To avoid further deliberation on this matter, it was decided to summon these
students and ask them to write again on another topic. This actually took place
on 14 / 5 / 1967, and the result this time
resulted in student Edmond Shائل Moussa Shukur winning the state prize as
shown above.
This is so, and in view of the very close proximity in the composition levels
of the other three students with the level of the winning student's composition when
they participated in the composition competition for the first time on 11 / 2 / 1967,
the school administration decided to grant each of the other students an encouragement
prize.
With greetings from the administration
