No notices showing combined Ordinary and Advanced results will be issued. This information is sent before the issue of Certificates and the University reserves the right to correct it. No further information will be issued by the University; the decisions of the Examiners, which have been reached after careful consideration, are final. The grades awarded are to be interpreted as follows: Grades A, B, C, D, E, and O, at Ordinary level and A, B, C, D and E at Advanced level are grades of pass in descending order of merit. Grade O at Advanced level shows a compensatory Ordinary level pass. Grade F (Advanced level) and F, G, H (Ordinary level) denote failure. An 'X' indicates absence from the examination in a subject. In French, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish two grades are given. The first represents the result obtained in the subject as a whole including the oral test. At the Advanced level in Biology, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Physics and Zoology, two grades will appear. In English Language with Spoken English the first grade is the English Language result. The second grade is the Spoken English result expressed as A, B or C (Pass) or F (Fail).
