An Appeal
To / All our brothers and sisters, members of the Union of Workers and Employees of the Ministry of Education
Your struggling union has been able to achieve a great gain for you, which since the founding of the union has been a dream
haunting the imagination of many of our sisters and brothers who are members of the union. As it was among the first duties of the union
to defend the interests of its members and raise the economic level of all workers and employees of the Ministry of Education, it
took the initiative to submit a request to the responsible authorities to obtain a license for a consumer cooperative.
Furthermore, we have obtained the license for our society (The Consumer Cooperative Society for Members of the Union of Workers and Employees of the Ministry of Education
in Baghdad - Limited).
When we proceeded to establish this society, our pioneer was the effective contribution to raising the economic level
of the workers and employees of the Ministry of Education, contributing to combating high prices, and enabling our sisters and brothers who are members
of the union to acquire necessary consumer goods at a price cheaper than the market price and in low installments
that suit the monthly income of the union members.
O sisters... O dear brothers
Your union has fulfilled one of your desires by establishing this society, so we invite you all to
join it and urge the rest of the brothers and sisters to join, as it cannot perform
its service without your rallying around it and your support for it, and the best support is belonging to the society. This is with the
knowledge that the door for membership is considered open as of Sunday, 1/28/1962. Therefore, we invite you
to attend at its temporary headquarters in the union headquarters as quickly as possible, and we thank you.
