Instructions regarding the government library statistics form for the year 1961
1 - The library may be public, private, or belong to one of the government institutions, and the answer to
this question depends on that. Furthermore, school and institute libraries are subject to this census, and
it includes all libraries regardless of the books contained therein.
2 - If the census pertains to the year 1961, for example, the total number of books, magazines, and periodicals
as of (1) January 1961 should be mentioned.
3 - If the census pertains to the year 1961, for example, the total number of books, magazines, and periodicals
received starting from the first of January 1961 until December 31, 1961, should be mentioned.
4 - The total number of books, magazines, and periodicals excluded by an official document certified by the
authority responsible for the library should be mentioned. Exclusion in its primary form is the damage that affects books, magazines,
and periodicals as a result of their use or for other reasons. In its second form, it is the loss of those
books, magazines, and periodicals or because they have become outdated.
5 - The answer to this question is given in the same manner as the previous questions, as a total sum for books,
magazines, and periodicals.
Important Note: - The number of books, magazines, and periodicals at the beginning of the year plus the number of books, magazines,
and periodicals received by the library during the year minus the number of books, magazines, and periodicals

This form is organized in triplicate and the library administration is obliged to return the first and
second copies of it to the presidency of the Cultural Statistics Committee in the province (Directorate of Education) and retain
the third copy for itself. After completing the verification of the two forms and ensuring
the accuracy of the information contained therein, the committee presidency must send the first copy to the Central Bureau of Statistics
at the Ministry of Planning and keep the second copy for itself.
