The Administrative Board of the Tomchei Torah Association met under the chairmanship of its president, His Eminence Rabbi Sassoon
Khedouri, and noted the weakness of students in the study of the Tanakh (Torah, Nevi'im, Ketuvim - The Holy
Bible). Therefore, it has decided to open a teaching course during the summer vacation at the Frank Iny School
to teach students the Tanakh free of charge and at the expense of the aforementioned association, provided that teaching is restricted
to students only for the time being.
Those wishing to enroll in the aforementioned study should register their names with the administration of the Frank Iny School starting from
the date of this announcement until June 15. Please note that the association will provide students with means of transportation

School Principal on Sunday, 22 / 4 / 1956, and decided the following:
First - It was decided to impose a temporary expulsion penalty for a period of three days on the student Albert Eliyahu Tazmin, starting from
Thursday, 19 / 4 / 1956. The committee also decided to deduct twenty points from his conduct average
for uttering words that offend good taste and phrases ⟦contrary⟧ to morals in various lessons and on numerous occasions.
Second - The committee also decided to issue a recorded reprimand penalty with a deduction of ten points from the conduct average of each of

On Tuesday, 7/2/1956, the Discipline Committee met under the chairmanship of the school principal
On Tuesday, 14/2/1956, and decided the following:
First - Imposing a temporary expulsion penalty for a period of two weeks on each of:
(1) Sami Baruch Shamash. (2) Haskeel (Kamal) Ibrahim. (3) Fouad Khaddouri Salem.
Starting from the morning of Tuesday, 14/2/1956. The committee also decided to deduct twenty
degrees from the conduct average of each of these three students because they were the primary causes
of the acts disruptive to order that occurred in the class on that day and on many occasions in the past.
However, considering the harm that depriving them of school attendance would cause, as it leads to depriving them
from participating in the mid-year exam, and in view of the pleas of their parents and out of mercy for them, it has
been decided to suspend the execution of the first part of the penalty and suffice with deducting twenty degrees from their conduct average.
Second - The committee also decided to impose a recorded reprimand penalty with a deduction of ten degrees from the conduct average of each of:
(1) Nassim (Latif) Victor. (2) Ghazi Daoud Haskeel. (3) Sabah Yaqoub Rashti. (4) Sabah
Elias Aqirab.
Note that the good conduct of the students Sabah Yaqoub Rashti and Sabah Elias Aqirab in the
past was taken into account, and no violation has been issued by them since the beginning of this school year until now, so their
punishment was lightened.
Third - Twenty degrees were previously deducted from the conduct average of student Fouad Khaddouri Salem on 16/11/955
Accordingly, the total degrees deducted from his conduct average has reached forty degrees. Also,
five degrees were previously deducted from the conduct average of student Nassim (Latif) Victor on
4/11/955, and accordingly, the total degrees deducted from his conduct average has reached fifteen
degrees.
A student is considered to have failed his grade if 51% or more is deducted from his conduct degrees.

On Tuesday, February 7, 1956, the Discipline Committee met under the chairmanship of the school principal
On Tuesday, February 14, 1956, and decided the following:
First - Imposing a temporary expulsion penalty for a period of two weeks on each of:
(1) Sami Baruch Shamash, (2) Hesqail (Kamal) Ibrahim, (3) Fuad Khadhouri Salem.
Starting from the morning of Tuesday, February 14, 1956. The committee also decided to deduct twenty
degrees from the conduct average of each of these three students because they were the primary instigators
of the acts disturbing the order that occurred in the class on that day and on many occasions in the past.
However, considering the harm that depriving them of school attendance would cause, as it would lead to depriving them
from participating in the mid-year exam, and in view of the pleas of their guardians and out of mercy for them, it has
been decided to suspend the execution of the first part of the penalty and suffice with deducting twenty degrees from their conduct average.
Second - The committee also decided to impose a registered reprimand penalty with a deduction of ten degrees from the conduct average of each of:

First - In view of the misconduct of both students Tariq Shalom Cohen and Chirac Soren
Khojian from the Second Intermediate Class (A), as they behaved improperly towards Mrs.
Fawzia, one of the teachers in this school. The Discipline Committee met under the chairmanship of
the School Principal on Tuesday, 14 / 2 / 1956, and it was decided to deduct twenty marks
from the conduct average of each of them. Note that five marks had previously been deducted
from the conduct average of student Tariq Shalom Cohen on 26 / 10 / 1955 and (20) marks on
1 / 11 / 1955, and thus the total marks deducted from his conduct average
has reached forty-five marks.
Furthermore, a student is considered to have failed his class if 51% or more
is deducted from his conduct marks.
Second - The student Tariq Shalom Cohen, in addition to the impoliteness, has neglected
the school regulations which require the submission of an excuse note for his absence to the administration

In view of the misconduct of the two students Maurice Naji Houri and Nissim (Said) Eliyahu
Houri from the first intermediate class (A) and their performance of acts disturbing the order in the lesson of Mr.
Khalil Askar on Wednesday, 18 / 1 / 1956, the administration has decided, based on the ⟦request⟧
of the Inspector Teacher, to impose a warning penalty with a deduction of five marks from their conduct average, with
the knowledge that ten marks had previously been deducted from the conduct marks of student Maurice Naji Houri on
11 / 11 / 1955 and five marks on 23 / 12 / 1955, and thus the total of his marks
deducted from conduct has reached twenty marks.
This is with the knowledge that a student is considered to have failed his class if there is a deduction from his conduct marks
of 50% or more.

In view of the lateness of the student Hilda Alwiya Hakham Nassim from the fourth preparatory grade
in attending the first lesson on Thursday, 1/11/1956, despite the
administration's repeated warnings to the class regarding the necessity of regular attendance and not being late, the administration of
this school has decided to deduct five marks from her attendance average, noting that five marks
had previously been deducted from the aforementioned student's attendance on 1/6/1956, and thus the total
of her deducted attendance marks has reached ten marks.

Based on the punishment imposed on the students whose names are mentioned below from the fourth preparatory grade
on 11/1/1956, which ruled to deprive them of attending the Chemistry lesson with a deduction from their attendance grades for their absence,
the number of grades deducted from the attendance average for each of them has reached ten grades, given that the number of
Chemistry classes they were deprived of attending reached fifteen classes until Sunday, 22/1/1956, in accordance with paragraph
(d) of Article (45) of the Secondary Schools System for the year 1956.
