ANNOUNCEMENT
Among the decisions made by the Teachers' Council in its session held on Thursday, 12/21/1961, is the following:
The Teachers' Council discussed several points related to the general aspects of the school, including the relationship of some students' guardians with the school. In view of what has occurred recently regarding the exceeding of the limits of protocol and decency by some guardians toward members of the teaching staff and the administration due to matters concerning their children in terms of attendance, examinations, or discipline—without these guardians having a correct viewpoint regarding the subjects related to their children—the Teachers' Council has decided, in order to maintain order and preserve the dignity of the teaching staff in the school, to leave it to the school principal in the future to take the necessary steps to sever the relationship of such students' guardians with the school. This shall be done by transferring all their children to another school to ensure the non-recurrence of anything that disrupts the school's system and the regularity of its progress in the future. Especially since the transfer of a student from one school to another cannot be considered harmful to the student's interest, nor can it be considered a punishment for them. The ultimate goal of this measure is to distance the guardian of the student who harms the public interest from the school environment, which must be calm so that regulations can be applied easily to ensure the school's progress and the raising of its scientific and educational standards.

ANNOUNCEMENT
Subject: Student Punishment.
In view of the attempt by student (Eliyahu Anwar) Shatoub to cheat, who is from the third
intermediate grade, in the lesson of Mr. Muhammad Saeed Abdul Wahab on Monday
4 / 1 / 1960, the administration has decided, based on the request of the specialized teacher, the following:
First - Deducting fifteen points from his conduct average.
Second - His grade in the subject of Literature shall be zero.
This is with the knowledge that the administration has previously warned the students repeatedly that it
will impose statutory penalties against every student who attempts to cheat, and that it is very keen
on developing the spirit of integrity in work among students and urging them toward good conduct
as much as it cares about the scientific and cultural aspects.

ANNOUNCEMENT
The Teachers' Council met on Thursday evening, 12/31/1959, and considered the case of the student Bashir Naji Beniri,
a student in the third intermediate grade, referred by the Discipline Committee. It unanimously decided to expel him for the remainder of
the 1959/1960 school year in accordance with paragraph (7) of Article (40) of the Ministry of Education Regulation No. (54)
of 1954, and not to admit him to the school in the coming year. This is due to his disruptive actions
against order inside the classroom during the lesson of the Arabic language teacher, Mr. Muhammad Saeed Abdul Wahab, and due to
the obscene remarks he uttered about the school's discipline committee in front of students outside the classroom.

⟦line⟧
How ⟦much d⟧o you really know about the sexes? ⟦See⟧ how your true-or-

than a man.

7- Men tend to be more self-centred than women.
8- When a couple has mother-in-law trouble, it's usually the wife's mother
who is to blame.
9- Women talk more about men than men talk about women.
lo- Wives understand their husbands better than their husbands understand
them.
⟦line⟧
1- True: When domestic differences arise, it's usually the partner who does
the most talking who gets his (or her) own way.

than women in solving complicated problems.
3- False: Studies conducted by psychologists show that women are more
subject to feeling depressed and "down in the dumps" than men.
4- True: The average woman requires appreciably more sleep than the average
man.

cies tend to upset a woman more, in a real crises she is likely to remain
calmer than the average male.

about what the eat than men and dislike more food.
7- False: Psychologists have found that women are more self-centred. Studies
show that they have fewer outside interests than men, are more preoccupied
with personal concerns and problems.

@ A woman will buy anything she thinks a store is losing money on.
@ A sign in the rooms of a Swedish hotel said:" Don't smoke in bed;
the ashes falling on the floor may be your own."
@ The bashful bride whispered to her husband as they entered the hotel,
"Albert, honey, let's try to make the other people think we've been
married a long time."
"All right, sweet. But do you think you can carry both suitcases?".
@ The honeymoon is over when he phones that he'll be late for dinner-
and she's already left a note that it's in the refrigerator!
@ "Do you have a good memory for faces, darling?" Asked the young wife.
"I sure do," replied her husband.
"That's great," said his wife. "You see, I just dropped your shaving
mirror."
@ "There you are honey," the bride announced, "my first turkey." She
proudly placed the steaming bird on the table.
"It looks wonderful, darling!" her husband responded. "What did you
stuff it with?"
"Stuff it?"exclaimed the bride. "Why, dear, this one wasn't hollow."
@ Drunk; "This match won't light."
Passerby; "What's the matter with it?"
Drunk; "I don't know, it lit before all right."
@ A man appeared in the office of a newspaper to place an advertisement
offering ID 500 for the return of his wife's pet cat.
"Isn't that a rather high reward for a cat?" remarked the clerk.
"Not for this one," was the reply."I drowned it myself."

Brain Twisters.
(From Reader's Digest).
@ To solve this test of reasoning power, you must first make the prepos-
terous assumption that black men ALWAYS tell the truth, and white men Always
lie. At twilight you are rowing towards a shore, on which you see, very
indistinctly, three men. You shout to them: "Are you white or black?" A man
answers, but his words are blown away in the wind. A second man cries: "He
says he's black, and he is black, and so am I." The third man cries: "He's
white, but I am black.".... What is the colour of each of the three men?
@ How quickly can you find out what is so unusual about this paragraph?
It looks so ordinary that you would think that nothing was wrong with it at all
and, in fact, nothing is. But it is unusual. WHY? If you study it and think
about it you may find out, but I am not going to assist you in any way. You must
just do it without coaching. No doubt, if you work at it for long, it will
dawn at you. Who knows? Go to work and try your skill. Par is about half an
hour.

Answers.
@ If the first man was white, he would have lied and answered "I'm black"
If he was black he would have said so. In either case, the words blown away
by the wind were, "I'm black". So the second man is black, because he told
the truth about what the first man said. Since the first two men are both
black, the third man obviously is white.
@ Although the letter "E" is the most used letter in the English alphabet
here's a paragraph without a single "E".
The National Maritime Musuem at Greenwich recently acquired the
portrait Reynolds painted of Commodore Keppel during this voyage to Italy.
It is among 2o paintings by Reynolds at Greenwich— the finest collection
of his early work. Other important collections of Reynolds's work ⟦are⟧ the 41
portraits in the National Portrait Gallery; 14 paintings at Kenwood House,
Hampstead; 12 in the Wallace collection; 11 at the National Gallery and
six at the Tate Gallery. There are also seven of his pictures in the National
Gallery of Scotland, Edinburgh, and seven in the Ashmolean, Oxford.

This is a game as well as an exercise for good enunciation.
Try this one, say it slowly, then repeat it with increasing speed.
"Betty Botter bought a bit of butter, 'But', she said, 'this butter's
bitter. If I put it in my batter, it will make my batter bitter. But a bit of
better butter will make my butter better.' So Betty Botter bought a bit of
better butter, and it made her batter better".

For Moses he knoses his toeses aren't roses, as Moses supposes his toses to be."
This next one is difficult, so don't try it unless your dentures are
