Instructions No. (4)
For students participating in the general examinations
1 - The student must know his examination number and his seating location in the examination hall at least one day before the examination date.
2 - The student must be present in the examination hall at the designated time, bringing with him his general examination participation permit card. He is not
allowed to be late for the examination time, and the student will absolutely not be admitted to the examination hall after the start time.
3 - The student must place his general examination participation permit card on his desk in front of him every day and for every subject. The
external student must also bring, in addition to that, the receipt given to him for the examination fees.
4 - The student must:-
a - Request his booklet if it is not stamped with the seal of the Ministry of Education and signed by the center director before starting to answer.
b - Write his name as it appeared on the examination participation card and his examination number immediately in the space designated for that
on the cover of the booklet in ink or copy pencil, and he is not allowed to write that in any other place, otherwise he will be considered a cheater.
c - Use black pencil for his answers only.
d - Write on both sides of every sheet.
5 - The student is not allowed to bring any books, notebooks, papers, or even drawing tools with him into the examination hall.
6 - The student is not allowed to:-
a - Speak inside the examination hall.
b - Look at the booklet of the person next to him.
c - Ask his peers for anything, and whoever violates this will be considered a cheater.
7 - Students are absolutely not allowed to ask the proctors to explain or interpret the questions.
8 - The student is not allowed to place any sign or distinguishing mark inside or outside the booklet, and whoever violates this will be considered a cheater.
9 - The student is not allowed to use any paper other than the examination booklet paper, nor is he allowed to write on the question paper.
10- The student is not allowed to change his place or the location of his chair throughout the examination days.
11- Cheating and every attempt to cheat is considered a violation for which the student is punished by being deprived of the general examination for that year and is considered to have failed.
12- The student is not allowed to request a second booklet unless he has finished the first booklet, and he must write his name, number, etc. on the second booklet
as stated in paragraph (b) of Article Four. He must place it inside the first booklet when submitting it.
13- Students must leave the examination hall after submitting their examination booklets. They are not allowed to gather near the examination hall
after leaving it and discussing the answers.
14- Absence from general examinations is not allowed except for a legitimate excuse such as illness, and in this case, the student must present a medical report according to
the following instructions:-
1
A - Medical reports for postponing exams are not accepted except from the medical committee in the Student Health Directorate in Baghdad or from doctors
of the Ministry of Education in the provinces. In the absence of an education doctor, then from the official doctor in charge. In the absence of an official doctor
in the district, sub-district, or village where the general exam is held, the health official is the one responsible. In this case, the
medical reports must be certified by the head of the administrative unit.
B - The sick student must obtain a letter from his school principal for a period not exceeding one week and not less than one day
before the exam. As for the exam days, he must visit the exam center manager before seven-thirty in the morning
to obtain a letter from him to refer him to the competent medical authority. Visits are not accepted except through the center manager
or the school principal.
C - No visit is accepted during the exam session hours (after the student has seen the questions) except for sudden accidents that
occur in the exam center for the purpose of providing first aid to the student if necessary. Medical reports granted during
exam session hours are not accepted for the purpose of exemption from them, but if this medical report covers more than one day, the student is exempted
from exams for the days following that day which are included in the medical report.
D - Medical reports are not accepted in the second session.
15- A student is not allowed to participate in the general exams on the days for which he submitted a medical report stating his non-participation.
16- The sequence numbers given to students in the general exam are the same ones used in the make-up exam.
17- The student is advised upon entering the exam hall to be an example of order and politeness, to maintain his composure and calm nerves,
and to start studying the questions calmly and carefully, then proceed to answer them.
18- The student is advised to start by answering the question he believes he can answer better than others, to be deliberate in what he writes,
and to take care of the cleanliness of his notebook, his handwriting, and his spelling. This has an impact on the grade estimation during correction.
19- The student must place the answer numbers according to the numbers appearing on the question sheet and not according to the order of answers in his notebook.
20- The student must answer only the required number of questions. Because the examination committee takes into account the answers according to
the sequence appearing in the exam notebook and ignores the final answers that are in excess of what is required or those that have been crossed out by the student
clearly. For example, if it is required to answer five questions and the student answers six questions, the committee will read
the first five answers and ignore the sixth unless one of the first five answers has been clearly crossed out.
21- When the time allocated for the exam ends, the student must stop writing, close his notebook, and remain in his place waiting for the proctor
to receive the notebook from him.
22- It is preferred not to smoke inside the exam hall. The center manager may allow cigarettes to be brought in (without the pack). As for cigarette packs
and matches, they are not allowed to be brought in and are considered a means of cheating.
24- Members of the armed forces are prohibited from entering the exam hall in their official uniforms.
25- Every student must hand over the question sheet with his exam notebook to the proctor.
26- Carrying weapons of any kind inside the exam halls is prohibited.
