@ To solve this test of reasoning power, you must first make the prepos-
terous assumption that black men ALWAYS tell the truth, and white men Always
lie. At twilight you are rowing towards a shore, on which you see, very
indistinctly, three men. You shout to them: "Are you white or black?" A man
answers, but his words are blown away in the wind. A second man cries: "He
says he's black, and he is black, and so am I." The third man cries: "He's
white, but I am black.".... What is the colour of each of the three men?
@ How quickly can you find out what is so unusual about this paragraph?
It looks so ordinary that you would think that nothing was wrong with it at all
and, in fact, nothing is. But it is unusual. WHY? If you study it and think
about it you may find out, but I am not going to assist you in any way. You must
just do it without coaching. No doubt, if you work at it for long, it will
dawn at you. Who knows? Go to work and try your skill. Par is about half an

بعد التحية ،
نظرا لاعادة تطبيق منهاج السرتيفيكا ( Certificat ) للغة الفرنسية
في الصف الاول المتوسط ، كما كان معمولا به قبل ثلاث سنوات . وذلك بالنظر
لالغاء فكرة اضافة سنة توجيهية .
هذا ، ورغبة في افساح المجال للطلاب الممتازين من خريجي الدراسة
الابتدائية لصيف ١٩٥٩ للالتحاق في بداية السنة الدراسية المقبلة في الفرع الفرنسي
من الصف الاول المتوسط ، ونظرا لما يتطلبه هذا الفرع من اساس قوي في بقية الدروس ،
خاصة في موضوع الحساب وموضوع اللغة الانكليزية بالاضافة الى اللغة الفرنسية ،
فقد قررت ادارة هذه المدرسة اجراء الامتحانات الخاصة بانتقاء الطلاب للفرع
الفرنسي وغيره من الفروع في المواعيد التالية :
الثلاثاء ٦ تشرين الاول ١٩٥٩ - من الساعة ٨/ - الى الساعة ١٠/ - صباحا -
امتحان في اللغة الانكليزية .
الثلاثاء ٦ تشرين الاول ١٩٥٩ - من الساعة ١٠/٣٠ الى الساعة ١٢/ - امتحان في الحساب
الاربعاء ٧ تشرين الاول ١٩٥٩ - من الساعة ٨/ - الى ١٠/ - صباحا - امتحان في اللغة الفرنسية .
هذا مع العلم بان ادارة المدرسة سوف تحاول توزيع الطلاب الذين لا يحسنون
اللغة الفرنسية والذين يتفوقون في امتحاني الحساب واللغة الانكليزية ، في شعبة
خاصة لضمان استمرار مستواهم الدراسي في السنوات المقبلة .

نظرا لخروج الطالب ( سمير ابراهيم ) يهودا غزال من الصف الثاني المتوسط ( ج ) من المدرسة
بدون اذن ونظرا لتكرر هذا العمل في السابق . فقد اجتمعت لجنة الانضباط برئاسة مدير
المدرسة في يوم الاربعاء الموافق ٣ / ٦ / ١٩٥٩ وقررت فرض عقوبة التكدير بحقه مع خصم
خمس عشرة درجة من سلوكه وفقا للمادة ( ٣٩ والمادة ٤٠ ) من نظام المدارس الثانوية
لسنة ١٩٥٤ . مع العلم بان الطالب يعتبر راسبا في صفه اذا خصم من درجات سلوكــــــــــــه
٥١ % فما فوق .

نرجو تزويدنا ( بـ ٤ ) نسخ من استمارة المعلومات الخاصة بالهيئة التعليمية ( وجهين لكل استمارة ) مع الصاق الصور الفوتوغرافية
على كل نسخة من الاستمارات المذكورة اعلاه . وترسل هذه الاستمارات الى هذه اللجنة لغرض تدقيقها من قبلنا ومن ثم
ارسالها الى مديرية معارف لواء بغداد بكتابنا المرقم ٢٣٥ في ٢١ / ٢ / ١٩٥٩ استنادا الى الامر الصادر من مديرية معارف لواء بغداد
بموجب كتابها المرقم ٥١٨١ والمؤرخ في ( ١٠ / ٢ / ١٩٥٩ ) علما ان اخر موعد لتقديم هذه الاستمارات هو يوم الثلاثاء المصادف
